I think this would be a bad move for the Raiders. Having decided to tackle the salary cap issue this would be a retrograde step. No disrespect to the Raiders but they're not contenders this year and Woodson wouldn't be value for money. My instinct says Woodson signs elsewhere, then again 'It's the Raiders'.

It just happened. And of course, C-Wood is repping the Michigan t-shirt.

No worries LAB, he didn't do it for the Money:
"The veteran defensive back signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported, reuniting him with the team that selected him in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Woodson's contract includes a $1 million base salary and is worth $4.3 million maximum, a source who has seen the deal told Rapoport."
So there is a lot of incentives involved to get the full amount for the year. At this point he's 36 and it'll be year by year contracts. At most I agree he'll only play 3 more years in the league, but his role isn't just as DB here, he's also going to be a mentor a la Rod Woodson back in the day. Another Woodson to help train up our DB Corps. I am a happy man.
