Ohh CoC, I don't think we will be able to agree on 2014 picks . I almost never see WRs worth a first round pick because more often than not they don't stick around long and are expensive to keep. I Hope they can keep Sanders for a contract a littlw under what Brown got. Our needs are obviously ILB id Spence isn't good to go, as well as TE, and maybe FS depending on how Robert Golden does. We will have to see hen the time comes.

Yeah unless the guy is 6'5" and can run a 4.3 I don't really think a wr is ever really worth a 1st rounder.
But I also thought taking an rb early nowadays is silly too but they took Bell. We will see if it was worth it.
In liking cj Mosley right now. Not too familiar with many prospects but safety corner TE wr de are also needs in that order for me. And with our OL they should take another one at some point next year too.
Best available at either ILB or safety is my guess as of right now. Only position I can see them taking on offense in the 1st is if the best TE in the draft is there and they like him.
MAYBE a OT if Gilbert does awful this year.

But we have to wait and see which backups show some potential and which starters suck and whatnot.
Hopefully not, but DE could shoot up the list of needs.
ILB could shoot down if The backups show good play.

ILB could shoot down if The backups show good play. Who knows Hood has looked improved. Woods has played very well as well as Brian Arnfelt. The Steelers also really like rookie Nicholas Williams. As far as the DL goes we are doing pretty good. McLendon is going to cause havoc in the middle, Hood looks like he is slowly progressing, Heyward needs to keep improving but he is an answer to life after The Beard. Al Woods can play DE and NT has done well at both so far this preseason. Arnfelt can provide as a back up or situational player behind Heyward in the future. Alameda Ta'amu and Hebron Fangupo needs to settle who will be the back up at NT.

As I said to Mitch.. I expect us to go all offense in our next draft. If we go DEF it would probably be a corner. Not in the first round though.
I expect Jackson to be leaps and bounds better than last year. He showed flashes of greatness. DeVito should be good to go for next year so I think all our Dline issues have been fixed.

Nix would be an interesting pick. In that scenario I assume the long term plan would be to either let mclendon walk after his contract expires or move him to de.

Moving him to DE would be my preferred choice since he is a better Pass Rusher. Nix is your more prototypical Zero-Technique NT and is pretty much a clone of Casey Hampton.
