How about a field of crops where you can get food, but its easy to be caught and killed since you can't see your surroundings well. That's an interesting idea and you should have to face an uphill battle for trying to get such an easy food source. Maybe there is a crazed farmer still lurking around who you would be forced to fight to have the right at the food? No to the farmer. Remember this is hunger games. All that's here is us. It should only be placed in 2 or 3 places of the map...taking up only 1 column of the map. But if you go...if anyone is within say 2 miles, he sees you. And he can now kill/stalk you.

Mountain: Pro: Hard to be spotted, better to perform a stealth kill Con: Low probability of food, higher chance of being struck by lightning I appreciate your efforts at trying to come up with something for mountain mitch, I couldn't think of anything myself. We need different pro's or cons for mountain though because it's too similar to desert.

We need to figure out what would be offered through the Sponsor Packages. Perhaps advanced weaponry (compared to what is initially offered or crafted in the landscape), decent amount of food, bandages, antidotes, naked pics of Plax, etc. Haha Medicine, food, sounds good to me. I can come up with these during the game.

I'll compromise...instead of a crazed farmer, how about a Pats16N0 who attempts to sacrifice you to the Brady and Belichick gods?

So that was your plan...good thing I didn't form an alliance with you... LOL, did Ace happen to go for an alliance with you too? I get the feeling that Ace was trying to alliance with everybody and then betray them whenever he saw fit, lol. He tried that on me, too. Glad I didn't fall for it as I ended up kidnapping him. LOL LOL

The "being spotted" factor is the total opposite, and there will be terrains that will be the same in this factor when compared to other terrains. It will happen. Same for food probability Another pro/con that I can add is the low temperature due to being at a high place.

Luck, Resourcefullness, Intelligence - These categories will be decided by stat points that you will be allowed to distribute before the game begins. Please read the first few posts of this thread to understand how this will work.
Ok, it sounds like all of these are a go.
How many stat points should be initially available (before we subtract the physicality and speed ratings)?
How does 300 sound? There is a maximum of 100 points per skill. If they had a 70 phyiscal rating and 80 speed rating, they would only have 150 points to distribute among the other 3 stats.

It's not similar to desert actually...Desert has NOTHING good about it. The sole purpose of the desert is for packages to be dropped off. You can but a couple 3x3 clumps on the map. And every couple of days, or however often, you drop something right in the middle. And you make it known to everyone. There is NO chance for food, it will use up your energy faster, make you get hungrier faster, and extremely easy to spot if someone is close by. There could also be a chance of a sandstorm?. But if something is dropped there...you have a choice to go try and get it or not...If you really want it, you can go knowing your risks. If anyone is within say 2 miles of any part of the desert, he spots you. If he has a bow and arrow he can kill you on the spot. If he doesn't he'll have to stalk you or go in the desert after him. Or you can stay close by the desert and see if anyone else has the guts to go in and try to get the package. If anyone goes in, you'll see them. Again, you can only kill him if you have a bow and arrow. Otherwise you have to go in after him and kill him with the weapon you do have or stalk him. It may sound like a bow and arrow is an amazing weapon, but from close range, you're basically at a fist fight.

I can come up with these during the game. What about the weaponry? I'm trying to think of something a step above simple melee weapons but nothing ridiculous like assault rifles or any modern long ranged weapon. I would love to add Gunpowder as a potential reward but make it extremely risky to utilize. Why? More explosions are always better and as an American, it is my duty to get explosions involved.
