Fairly sure we'd take Lewan in that spot. I'd be shocked if we passed on him. no chris gamble leaves a big void at CB still that the panthers havent addressed. either guy would work, but i say they get themselves another ohio state CB Colts. Need. A. Wide. Receiver. Do you trust an aging Reggie Wayne and Darrius Heyward-Bey for the 2014 season? they can always draft one in the 2nd round. the colts havent upgraded there CB situation at all in the draft either. wayne will be fine, but they will need another guy If the Steelers are going DT, I would rather them take Louis Nix III than Anthony Johnson personally. And over both of them, I have a hard time believing that we would pass up on C.J. Mosely if we had a chance. the steelers have no answer at NT. why casey hampton is still there i dont know. pittsburgh has done a great job at developing LB's. maybe get one in the 2nd round Still think the Eagles trade up huh? and for a LB? and a LB who had a good season last year due to a great DL. I think Barr falls down quite a bit this season. i know following directions isnt your strong point, but please learn to read, because i said there are no trades in the mock, except for the RG3 trade. i guess barr would play on the DL for the eagles in the 3-4 from what i understand, and alot of people seem to like him as a top 5 pick right now

Yes, Bengal, I know...was being facetious due to the fact you have the Eagles picking 4th again implying another horrible season is in the midst for Philly. You could be right...but I highly doubt it.

Boyd and Manziel are not top 5, let alone top 10 talents.
And Lewan is better than Matthews.

Hmmm. I guess it will depend on how DE Ziggy Hood does this year. He has had gargantuan shoes to fill ever since Aaron Smith retired but he has slowly improved since being drafted, he just needs to hold the point of attack better, and learn to disengage from linemen when needed, his TFL are pathetic but 4-4 D-linemen are not suppose to be racking up stats they are suppose to allow the LBs to make the plays. I think it would be more beneficial sign him to a short contract until the Steelers can groom a young linemen to take his place. The majority of our linemen are capable of playing all 3 positions, so unless a 3-4 DE is the BPA I think they would be more likely to just shuffle linemen around. McLendon could move over to Hood's spot and Ta'amu or Hebron Fangupo could play NT. I also expect to see less 3-4 base D going forward. I'd also hate to see a 4-3 DT converted to 3-4 DE, unless they plan on playing a lot of different fronts or change the scheme it simply does not work and takes to long to develop. THAT is why two of the Steelers best DEs the past few years (Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel) were allowed to be successful, they were mid-round draft picks which meant they can learn their first few seasons, resigned to another fairly cheap contract and then allowed to eventually take the starter spot. Hood and Heyward or any other 4-3 convert in the early rounds wont have that luxury.
Right now the Steelers biggest needs are ILB is Spence doesn't recover and Vince Williams either can't step up over Foote or the Steelers don't want a 2 down ILB. FS if Rob Golden doesn't seem capable of starting. WR just to add another weapon if Justin Brown doesn't surprise, they need a tall target. Could possibly use another TE as well.

He is 6'3 305 pounds, those are not the dimensions of a 3-4 NT. I think Steve Mclendon will do just fine playing NT this year, they may only need a situational back up NT with a bigger body to stuff the run when needed. Johnson only would fit as a DE, and even then I don't think they should make the mistake again of converting a 1st round 4-3 DT to DE again.

I watch a fair bit of acc football and I don't get how Boyd is that high of a pick. We will see what he does this year.
Mccarron, I really like him but I don't see him as that high of a pick. He was given the keys to a Ferrari at bama and just told not to crash it. And there were only about 3 other cars on the road lol. He is good though. Maybe 2nd round.
But with the qb race that always goes on now, maybe all these guys will be high picks.
The steelers don't ever draft a cb in the first. Unless his name is rod Woodson or something.
Haven't heard of most of these guys yet. But I'm no draft junkie and don't pay too much attention to college football other than the top 25 and the acc.
