Alright, im doing the chargers preview for the week along with the packers one since the packers and chargers will be on ESPN tommorrow. i know your a chargers fan craig440, so if you want to do the future ones, go ahead ok, some things to watch for this game *The new looking defense. the chargers choose to use there 1st round pick on OLB melvin ingram from south carolina, and i gotta say this was maybe my favorite defense pick of the 1st round. it was a big steal that he managed to fall to them. they also drafted DT kendall reyes from connecticut who will convert to DE. oh and they signed NT aubrayo franklin from the saints which was a great signing too. *Better offense? one of the underrated signing on the offense i think was FB leron mcclain who has been able to rush for alot of yards in the past. people dont think he did that well for the titans last year, but he will be a big help to matthews. plus how will new guys like robert meachem and and eddie royal play? dont forget that vincent brown is trying to emerge *Coaching needs to step it up. you wont be able to tell how well this coaching will go in one preseason games, but norv turner is on his last chance right now. need to see some smart play calling in this game i believe *Backup QB. maybe not the most important thing on this team, but i always liked watching for QB battles anywhere. whitehurst is not a backup IMO, but can kevin o'connell or undrafted rookie jarrett lee from LSU do any better? This game will be on tommorrow at 8 PM ET on ESPN. enjoy the game

You did great Bengal. I'm not to good at that type of thing and I didn't think anyone cared. haha I think I'm the only shameless charger homer on here. Don't expect to see much of Meachum. He's a little dinged. But Gates is thinner, stronger, and faster. Tearing it up. And if you want to see Gates smile and get giddy, ask him about Eddie Royal. Gates thinks Royal in the slot is going to open all kinds of doors.
Ronnie Brown is impressing people also. But one of the later guys to watch is Michael Hayes. RB. Word is he is Word up. haha I used a term you kids might know Word up! Thanks son.
The defense is suppose to be much quicker and attack more. (I heard that last year) But the DC is finally getting his chance. And yes Turner is on the hot seat, but this game won't mean anything about that. Donald Butler LB finished real good last year and is having a great camp. I will be watching the defense most because I have no doubt our offense will be just fine. Improve the Def and we have a real shot this year. There is a sense of urgency.
Oh yeah and left tackle is something to watch. Gaither has been having stupid little spasms and other stupid stuff. Might be a problem and he probably won't play.
Wildcat? maybe not now, but last week in practice we ran it and Rivers, Yes Rivers ran a post route. Brown didn't throw it to him and the whole defense was cracking up. That was the end of practice. haha.

We did try to get some more shameless homer Chargers fans on this forum but the only other one we knew of turned us down. I'm not sure why sirshockwave rejected my invitation. Come to think of it I did mention Jackson, re-sign, and laugh in 1 sentence. Never mind.
Go Packers.

No! Not the San Diego posse! We'll have to run and hide. Hang on. There's an application involved. We could just say no.

Oh nevermind, they are all at the beach drinking white wine, smoking pot, and playing with sand crabs. No wonder we can't win anything. We are soft. Oh wait the San Diego Storm womans tackle football team just went to Pittsberg and won the champion ship! Whoooo Hooooooo super bowl baby.

Back to football. I'm interested in who will return kicks for us. We have a lot of depth there. But they can't all make the team. Royal, Goodman, Spurlock, Parrish, and Sproles.
Oh wait. I think I'm missing one.

Well i'd recommend Sproles. Whatever you do don't let him get away.

Well i'd recommend Sproles. Whatever you do don't let him get away. Naw hes to short. Probably won't amount to much just like that preseason flash in the pan we had before Wes Welker. He wasn't good enough either. My point is A.J. Smith and Norv Turner have to make the right moves this year. We are full of depth at several positions and some of them have to go. I was kind of mad when we cut L. Robinson last year and kept Crayton.
