I was very happy when we drafted him last year, and I thought he would be a big time contributor year 1, but an injury held him back.
How big of an impact will he have this season? I know Joseph Morgan is really coming into his own, and of course we drafted Kenny Stills who I am very happy with. Will Toon get passed up on the depth chart?

I, too, was really disappointed not to see my fellow Badger on the field last year. The boy is huge- 6'4" and has incredible timing on his leap, so he plays much much taller. But, the skill that always impressed me the most during his days in Wisconsin was his strong hands and his ability to haul in a ball that is thrown just about any where in his direction. He played through his senior year with that lingering foot injury, but still helped Russel Wilson look like a stud by hauling in 10TDs. He spent a lot of his off-season rehab back here in Wisconsin, and I'm sure his dad had a hand in his continued development into an elite NFL WR.
Morgan might have impressed last year, but he didn't have much competition for that 3-4 WR spot. I expect Toon to make a case for himself during pre-season AND leap-frog over Morgan on the depth chart by the time the regular season rolls around.

And I agree. I remember watching Toon just rip the ball out of DBs hands in mid air, multiple times throughout his career, to make the catch.

I think Morgan will drop to the bottom of the depth chart. I think Stills and Toon are more complete receivers than Morgan. Morgan to me kind of seems like a 1 trick pony, he's not the best route runner and doesn't have great hands, he's basically a speedster that can stretch the field. That's why he averages 37 yards a catch. I would rather see Morgan return kicks and punts to help keep sproles healthy
