Hey guys I saw a bunch of other people do it and I thought it would be fun to do this as well so I will be doing the same thing Mitch9 did except from a Rams fan point of view. Please read and thank you!:
Players to watch:
Janoris Jenkins, CB: Right now, no one is hearing anything negative about Jenkins. According to many analysts, he already looks like pro-bowl material. The only thing that happened that was somewhat negative was that he got into a fight on the field against fellow rookie RB Isaiah Pead. It will be interesting to see how he performs alongside Cortland Finnegan. Will he learn from Finnegan and be a dirty player? This first game will be a good one to watch.
Steven Jackson, RB: Jackson is getting up there in age, but according to numerous reports, Jackson has countered this by working out even harder and being in better shape than ever before. Right now Jackson is holding a 5.1% body fat and down 10 pounds from last year. He is in incredible shape and looks to be prepared to take the load that is coming his way this season. It will be interesting to see how many carries he is given this first preseason game and how he reacts to it.
Sam Bradford, QB: Bradford had a terrible sophmore season. He was injured in over 6 games. Apprarently, he is STILL not over the severe ankle sprain that limited him last year. Look out for how he runs and how he holds up on his injured ankle; atleast he is not wearing the ankle brace anymore.
Brian Quick, WR: Quick is the 2nd round WR that the Rams are hoping ends out being the #1 receiver Bradford has needed for years now. Look to see how he holds up against mediocre Colts DB's.
Greg Zuerilein, K: Another Rams rookie, only a kicker drafted in the 6th round. In training camp, he has shown he has got a ROCKET of a leg. He has nailed kicks up to 60 yards, and has the leg to make ones even longer than that (would've made a 64 yard if it weren't for accuracy). See how far he can kick the ball and see if the Rams can rely on him at kicking FG's at 50+ yards.
The Defensive Line: It is good to hear that the defensive line on the rams is just abusing the offensive line in scrimmages. Hopefully it translates into the preseason and regular season.
The Offensive Line: As much as I try not to look at the offensive line, it will be important to watch this game in order to see if Bradford and Jackson are getting the blocks neccesary to have an efficient offense. This is the #1 TOP PRIORITY of the Rams.
VERDICT:Rams 36, Colts 24
