2013 Bears Draft Class
1.20=Kyle Long,OG/OT,Oregon
2.18=Jon Bostic,ILB,Florida
4.20=Khaseem Greene,OLB,Rutgers
5.30=Jordan Mills,OT,Louisiana Tech
6.20=Cornelius Washington,DE/OLB,Georgia
7.30=Marquess Wilson,WR,Washington State
My player draft grades
Kyle Long,OG/OT,Oregon (C-)
Jon Bostic,ILB,Florida (A-)
Khaseem Greene,OLB,Rutgers (B+)
Jordan Mills,OT,Louisiana Tech (B-)
Cornelius Washington,DE/OLB,Georgia (C+)
Marquess Wilson,WR,Washington State (C+)
My opinion on each selection;
1.20=Kyle Long,OG/OT,Oregon-A big reach,but he should be given the chance to make an impact from the start as a Bear.
2.18=Jon Bostic,ILB,Florida-I love this pick.He will be our starting future ILB,and will help us on special teams when he has his chance.
4.20=Khaseem Greene,OLB,Rutgers-A steal!I though he was going to go towards the start/mid 3d round.He would fill in if James Anderson got hurt,and he is a turnover machine.I think this might've been one of the 5 biggest steals of the draft.
5.30=Jordan Mills,OT,Louisiana Tech-He should be a work-in-progress.He played in an up-tempo offense (He played over 100 plays in 2 games last season at college),and if we develop him,he could be our starting RT if we ever give up on Webb.
6.20=Cornelius Washington,DE/OLB,Georgia-Another good pick.We should look to develop him into a pass rusher,and in 2-3 years,he can make an impact if he fully develops into a solid player.
7.30=Marquess Wilson,WR,Washington State-We needed speed,but at least we have someone who isn't afraid to catch the ball over the middle.He's somewhat fast,but I think he can be a good player on special teams starting out,then could be our #3 WR if he becomes a consistent WR (he was known to have some concentration issues)
Overall grade;B
My take;We added some OLmen that could help us.Not the guy(s) we were thinking,but I think they can help us.We added some young LB's that could be key contributers to our team both now and in the coming years.They can also help us out on special teams if they aren't playing defense.We also added a posession WR in Wilson,which will help,but we were looking to add a receiver full of speed,although Wilson's peed was considered average (4.51 40 time)
