Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.
Instead of claiming that I shoot for shock value responses, you could just ask me why I have certain players over others like Jancey and the rest of the board. Professional scouting isn't some infallible service like you are making it out to be and there are many mistakes over the years in assessing players. There was a clear divide in the Colts front office in the 1997 Draft when it came down to taking Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf in the pre draft process so these professional scouts you hold to such a high pedestal often teeter in the bust direction more than you might want to admit. Let's not act like I'm questioning the theories of Carl Sagan or attempting to challenge the principles of gravity here.
Some thoughts on the feedback
- Nassib is a close 6 in these rankings but I prefer the physical traits/leadership intangibles of other QBs.
- Franklin has underrated vision and I believe that is one of the most overlooked traits at RB. Michael certainly has the tools to be a top RB in the NFL but he has a huge bust factor with his character. I have no sympathy for players who can't keep in shape like Lacy and I seem him as a 2 RB option kind of player you pair with a more elusive option.
- Patterson has genuine questions on if he can grasp an NFL playbook or expand his route running tree. The physical talent is there but is he there mentally?
- Milliner has always been slightly overrated to me and I feel the hype increased because of his awesome 40 time. Make no mistake that he can (and will be) a solid CB in this league but I feel he presents a little stiffness in his hips and there is the whole issue of teaching him to properly backpedal once he enters the NFL.
- The pass rusher rankings aren't as far apart as one may believe and I gave the nod to those in the top 3 because I liked what I saw on tape in regards to defending the run over Dion Jordan. Also not a fan of how much a project Jordan could be depending on which system he is shipped to but he could easily make me look foolish and I recognize that.
- Dion Sims is in there for his blocking skills mainly and as a Giants fan, I tend to rate that higher than most people. Understand the questioning there.
