Yeah, it's the hit Largent put on Denver's Harden (in 1988 I believe) Nice play. Probably would be a penalty today. Largent and Kreig broke my heart so many times. They were good. Oh and that Curt Warner guy wasn't to bad either.

Nice play. Probably would be a penalty today. I know, but it would be a shame if it was. It was with his shoulder right in Harden's chest, no high hit or helmet to helmet. But, the violence of the hit would have drawn the flag even if the refs didn't see helmet to helmet. In some ways, I feel that their efforts to making the game "safer" really has just made it more susceptible to refs deciding the outcome of games. And, no one really wants that.

Agree I see some clean hard hits that get called just because they are HARD. You are to young to remember that. Do you do research on the old Hawks or something?
Edit. Oh wait I don't know how old you are. Sorry.

I'm in my early 30's. Yes and no about researching the early Seahawks. I remember the some of the late 80s, but not the early 80s, and it wasn't until 1992 that I became fully immersed into sports (and yes, it's sad that the year the Hawks were 2-14 was the first year I watched every game).
