For the first time since I've been doing fancy football, there are now 9 bye weeks. Usually it's 7, last year was 8. Not only do they have bye in week 12 (!!!), but there are 4 teams with a bye that week. And just 2 on a bye in week 11. Typically weeks 6 and 7, there are at least 4 teams, often 6 on a bye. This year there are only 2 teams for those 2 weeks. In terms of FF, at least it could make the draft a little bit easier. Just broke out the different brand of highlighters for my draft sheets. Luckily the pinks and blues are distinctly different.

Seems to me that just mitigates the damage in weeks with only two teams on a bye (four of the nine bye weeks). I could care less one way or the other; I'll sacrifice a game midseason to ensure success in the rest of the weeks. I'm far more interested in players' playoff schedules than their bye weeks.

Very good point about the playoff weeks schedules. But even if you made a column for each of the 3 playoff weeks, listing all team matchups, it would still be a daunting task to consider all that during a live online draft. And defenses change from year to year. So I just wanna pick the team that will get me there. Then just hope for the best.
I mean, even if you accurately predict how good a defense is gonna be, the odds are that your players will be facing a mix of good, bad, and in between defenses week 14 - 16.

What's Fancy Football? Is that the Lingerie League? Do they were fancy dresses? It would tickle my fancy and one could only guess what else to watch Eric Decker run around in a black lace teddy.

Dive plays fancy football. I've seen her dress up in an evening gown for our live draft online.

Mellisa manchester in an evening gown? have to see it to believe it!! Was she tomboyish or gay or something? Was not a big fan of hers, so really know nothing about her - just that we looked somewhat similar. But yes, I've set up a webcam for Craig in my pre-draft dressing room. Anything for a friend.

The job is made a lot easier for me in that most of my leagues are 10-player, which generally means only two playoff weeks. What I do is to come up with a subjective 1-10 rating for each player's opponent for those two weeks based on how good I think they'll be at that point. I also only do it for the top players I'll consider drafting at each position, usually 20 or so except at WR, where I do 30. Of course, it's only a guide; there are some players I'll pick regardless of who they'll be playing. I'm good at getting there, too; I'm a fiend at working the WW and usually very solid in the draft.

Yeah, a 10 team league with 2 playoff weeks not only makes the job easier, but the likelihood is increased by 1/3rd that any team will be facing good or bad defenses. All my leagues are 12 team and have 3 playoff weeks, and it's that much more impossible to even bother to assess who they might face or how they will even do, know what I mean? Would just a lot of work for no real reward in the end. Good point though about just doing it for the early rounders. (whew lol)
A lot of people would have probably rated the Eagles D a 9 or 10 (I live here) 2 years ago. Even last year. Abysmal!! Never gelled. Juan Castillo, I could just throw up. Glad Andy Reid is gone. I still just scratch my head wondering how things could've gone THAT badly.

Seeing how you discuss FF at this level of detail, dive, not difficult to figure that I should be an easy prey for ya
