I actually made it through that part on my first try, Jin. I was playing on normal, though, not hard. I also really hate how I could be in the middle of a combo and a monster would come along and hit me and I would lose the combo. The best thing I found to help out with that is to upgrade your powers where you can use magic attacks with them. That way, when you're in the middle of a combo and you see a monster about to hit you, you can use a magic attack on the group. This will leave you invulnerable for the duration of it and keep your combo going. Yea that's essentially what I did. I lose a few times do to getting randomly frozen by the gorgons then smashed to pieces when I hadn't even been touched yet.. I lost one other time do to a glitch where it wouldn't let me pull a wraith from the ground.. I also realized I wasn't blocking enough. In past games I only used the block to counter in this game countering wasn't a big part of the game so I wasn't really using it, turns out that was important. Also the final boss fight was a pretty big letdown IMO. |

I'm finally playing this game \O/  I would like to see you attempt it! This GOW game switched the fucking fight engine and fucked things up.. I tell you its lovely when in the middle of attacking a creature when it just reaches out and swats you killing your combo and stopping any power ups! I know, that sucks The best you can do, if it is a small creature, is to hold the heavy attack button to launch it into the air and leave him defenseless |

Wow.. just fucking wow.. I am at this part in ascension where I am riding this giant elevator thing up and it stops.. and at each stop I have to fight a different grouping of monsters.. It took me like a half hour to beet the first group.. Finally beat them which was an absolute pain to do, I got down to about a quarter of my health. I figured I'd get a chance to heal up but nope I stop at the second level with a quarter health and die quickly.. I figure it would be a fucking checkpoint getting past the first group but nope.. I have to start all over again.. So I get through the first group with more health get through the second group, and again I have to face a 3rd group of monsters again I was hoping for a checkpoint but nope I die and no fucking check point. So I have to go all the way back take out these groups of monsters again.. AHH I am so fucking frustrated! yeah, that's a fucking bitch... even after I got through that shit I needed to turn off to cool down... |
