I'm at a loss this morning. Why are all of these 'Experts' trying to shove over the hill, wasted, and bad habit players down the Raiders throat? No We do NOT need T.O. nor Plaxico. The only type of WR we need right now is a solid slot type receiver that can play under the coverage and run routes as our 2 speedsters to the out side lift the roof off the D. We dont need a player as gifted as Wes Welker, It'd be nice I won't lie, but we just need some one who is solid.
And Benson, if anyone read my articles I posted in the other area on the site, then you know how i feel about him.

i actually think burress and benson could be helpful, just not as starters
benson i dont think can take much more as a RB, but could be suitable as a backup just fine, but i wouldnt start him at all, even if DMC is gone
burress is a very good matchup in the redzone when it comes to getting TD's. ive noticed this last year that he was very reliable at getting the TD's. wouldnt start this guy, but i would play this guy only when in the redzone, so i think he would be worth signing IMO

Plus we just got rid of Murphy because we had too many at the position and didnt need that many, adding burris to the pot just gets rid of the extra cap we just accrued from trading murphy. I just dont see the need with our team, other teams i can, including the cardinals or Jaguars. Now if they signed Burress once murphy was gone, then ok could make the argument that thats why they did it, but its been a few weeks and he's out of time for training camp. Benson is too expensive to be anything except a #1 or #2, thats our issue, if we had the cap and he was willing to budge then yea i would have went for him, but too many variables are against him right now, plus i can see him being available clear to week 6 at the rate we are going, unless Jacksonville ends up being content with MJD being gone. Also thanks, its nice to talk Raiders, cant do it on the main forums with out some one acting like a tard, and i appreciate that your view is opposite to mine, makes the debate better, thanks bengal.

well, when guys are looking for job, i would think you could get those players very cheap if possible
burress i would recommend more than benson though still. burress i still seem to like a bit, just not as a starter. i doubt he will sign with the raiders though. he will want to play for a certain team, but those certain teams dont want him it seems
and yeah, no problem about me posting here. just looking for things to talk about to kill time. hopefully you can recruit some good raider fans on here to talk to maybe
