I got a lot to say about this week....
Oklahoma came into the week with very little shot to play in the championship game. But with surprise losses from A&M and Nebraska put Oklahoma in prime spot if they can put away Oklahoma State this week! All the user teams made huge gains in the rankings, especially Iowa with a win over #3 seed Nebraska! Don't know how I can go up 2 spots to #9 in both polls but remain stagnant at #12 on the BCS poll. At least I got 3 #1 votes in the Media poll.
With the top 2 teams each still having a game to play, there's still an opportunity for some shake up. Hypothetically a Oklahoma loss to Oklahoma State and Tennessee loss to A&M will cause some headaches. Notre Dame will almost certainly be #1 in that case considering their only loss comes from current #1 Tennessee. But who will get the 2nd slot? North Carolina didn't even win their division, Tennessee would just lose in theirs and then a log jam in the SEC.
I still don't get the BCS bowl projections. The 8 teams that are ranked above WKU make it and I can see why Washington would get in the rose bowl before the Hilltoppers but how the hell is a mid teen ranked Louisville going to the Rose Bowl ahead of WKU? Sigh I guess a beating of 6-6 Rice and some BCS bowl team loss will put WKU in the top 5.
The award races is dominated by sophomore sensation Damarcus Smith, Gavin Rocker and Antonio Andrews. Antonio Andrews is expected to have a field day when the award winners are announced and Smith is making a last minute statement on why he should be a Heisman winner. Gavin Rocker is rocking quarter backs and even injured Willie McNeal is 3rd for the Bilentekoff award.
WKU made a huge splash today by getting 4 star athlete Chris Stanley to commit. Stanley projects to be a DE or DT and will provide some much needed depth. WKU hopes they can get Ernie Benson, 4 star WR, Patrick Higdon, 3 star CB and Tom Garcia, 4 star HB to commit before the off season starts. WKU is also eyeing a 78 overall JUCO athlete, remains to be seen if the prospect will come to WKU next fall. WKU hopes that the above 3 mentioned prospects will solidify what is now being call the best class in WKU history.

I am absolutely done with this game. My dynasty that I started when I first bought this game corrupts and freezes my game whenever I try to load it. So I think "fuck it I will start a new dynasty" so I picked Oregon State and decided to try and get Cooks Heisman and build them up to a 6 star team. Finish my first game go to look at stats and it freezes. This is literally like the 30th time I have had this game freeze on me. I have had NBA 2k14 for about half the time of NCAA but I have probably put as many hours on it as I have NCAA, and you know what not a single freeze.. I know they are different games but they both came out in the same year and are made by two of the big dogs in the industry so they should be of similar quality but one blows the other out of the water. I swear that EAsports just half asses their way through every game they put out.. I will definitely finish our online dynasty season, but after that I am done I have lost total interest in this game.. Far to many times I have finished a game only for it to freeze. Far to many times has the game just generally froze, and if it hasn't been patched yet it probably won't be. In a happier note in our Online dynasty my returner is going to win returner of the year!

^ I have the exact opposite problem as you. Sometimes 2K14 won't even load for me so I can't even access anything but if it loads its fine and doesn't freeze. Although one time it skipped every game after the all-star break and went to the playoffs so it was only a 50 game season. I've never had NCAA 14 freeze on me. Maybe it's a scratch on the disk?
BTW I know the general feeling. Whenever I go play a 15 minute quarter game in Madden 08 for a little bit of stat padding in my franchise, it would freeze in the 4th quarter and I get so discouraged after such a long game!

Really? weird.. Maybe we are yin and yang and balance the world out by having games that do the opposite shit Yea, it can be really demoralizing.. I know in my one franchise I was playing Bama they were ranked #1 and I had a long drawn out game that went into overtime where I had come back from a 20 point deficit and I won with a long field goal, I finished the game and it froze on me.. It honestly seems to happen whenever I have a big game once I was like 4 yards from breaking Tomlinsons effing record and when I was looking at the stats it froze.. I actually stopped kneeling the ball cause when I would take a knee to end a game it seemed like it would freeze more often!

You don't go for a week 17 blowout in franchise mode??? I'd put on all my Madden cheat cards gold version so the opponent literally fumbles and throws an INT every time. Do an onside kick cuz hey they gonna fumble the ball and rumble on to a 255-0 win. It helps out with red zone efficiency too! If I'm gonna use those cheat cards, may as well get the best bang for my buck. Ahhh those +5 overalls came just in time for playoffs too! I'd also turn off offsides so my pass rushers get a running start. Hey, I take any advantage you give me. Sue me! Sometimes I feel like NCAA 14 is a bit slow and laggy espicially during the hurry up offense.

WKU hopes that the above 3 mentioned prospects will solidify what is now being call the best class in WKU history. Louisville is going to win the American Conference, and that conference has an automatic bid to the BCS bowls. Remember it's the old Big East, and that's why it has the bid. So what you have is this - the BIG 10 (or 11, or 12, or whatever the hell they are) has TWO teams - Ohio St. AND Nebraska in the Top 10...and they play each other in the conference title game...so ONE of those two will lose and fall from the Top 10 most likely. That could be where W. Kentucky moves up. Right now it looks like this for the BCS games: SEC - Two teams - the SEC Champ and #4 Florida - one in the BCS Title Game ACC - POSSIBLE Two teams - the ACC Champ and #6 North Carolina Pac12 - one team - Pac12 Champ - Washington or USC American - one team - American Champ - Louisville Big12 - one team - Big12 Champ - Oklahoma, Texas, or Kansas St. - if Oklahoma, then they would be in the BCS Title Game BIG10 - POSSIBLE Two teams - BIG10 Champ and a Top 10 Iowa Independant - #3 Notre Dame - currently causing issues with others getting into the BCS So that's what we're looking at. There needs to be an upset along the way for W. Kentucky to be assured of a shot, but with the BIG10 teams playing each other, who knows. Ohio St. is #8 and Nebraska is #7 I believe. That's where I think the door could open for W. Kentucky. The other matchup is Va Tech vs. Boston College in the ACC Title Game. BC lost by 3 earlier I think...so they gave Va Tech a good run. If they were to win that game, that would DROP Va Tech in the polls, possibly allowing W. Kentucky to move up a little more. That, combined with the BIG10 loser falling out of the Top10 could be all that's needed. Gonna be interesting.

Ok so I guess BCS bowl tie ins are in the game but that means WKU should be getting an automatic bid. Since WKU is at least ranked 12th in all the polls, they should be getting an automatic bid. The only reason I see that they shouldn't is if Notre Dame counts as a team in a non-AQ conference. If I'm not mistaken, the winner of the championship game is the division winner, yes? The road might be tougher than thought for WKU. SEC- SEC champ and Florida are in. PAC 12- Either Washington or USC. American- Louisville is in even with a loss? Independent- Notre Dame is in but does this count as a non-AQ conference? ACC- ACC champ is in regardless? North Carolina gets an at-large bid. Big 10- Either Nebraska or Ohio State gets in. Iowa gets in with an at-large bid. They are ranked higher in the BCS polls. Big 12- Oklahoma is in if they win. If things are going to play out like I think they are (division champs getting in regardless of who wins) then WKU has no shot. Florida has one at-large bid and Notre Dame automatically qualifies. Basically I'm fighting for an at-large bid with MarchingOn 's Iowa and Jindred 's North Carolina. Both play in a BCS conference, have wins against ranked opponents and play tougher schedules.

Yeah the BCS Conference winners get in but they aren't tied to specific bowls I think. That would be how Louisville is going to get in and the Pac-12 winner gets in (if it's USC). I think I did check and Louisville should get in regardless because they have tie-breakers in their conference. Notre Dame is highly ranked so they will get in also, and they don't count as a Non-AQ qualifying team because they actually ARE an AQ team. They have an automatic inclusion within the BCS because they're Notre Dame, which was one of the reasons people were miffed at the setup when the BCS came into existence.
Western would WANT every higher ranked team to win, because that will give them a shot at moving up more, and then they could "possibly" rank higher than some of the other teams fighting for the At-large bids. It might be better if Oklahoma loses that game, which would give the Big 12 to Texas or Kansas St....and then Notre Dame would move into #2 position and then that "could" open up a spot in one of the other bowl games - Rose, Orange, Fiesta, Sugar - for someone else. I think Western may also be higher ranked than Iowa afterward...and there's no guaranteeing that the BIG10 gets more than the one team. Don't know, because it always seems to change....would be kinda cool to see a playoff option in the thing...wait, did I just say "playoffs"?!?!?
