So police killed 1160 Americans again this year. Terrorism (non domestic) has killed, by very conservative estimates, about 16 on us soil, which is actually a high number compared to every year since 2001.
The crazy thing is that we know who did all the police shootings, we continue to pay them for life, and 99% of the will never even go to trial. Not even the two men who murdered a 5 year old playing with a toy gun, and who chose not to administer first aid while he lie in the street bleeding to death.

Ben Carson is literally the dumbest smart guy ever. No doubt he's a brilliant medical mind (or, at least, that's his reputation.. Not like I'm personally aware of his work), but I've never seen someone so "smart" make such a fool of him/her self on a consistent basis.

Not like I'm personally aware of his work), but I've never seen someone so "smart" make such a fool of him/her self on a consistent basis. Most dangerous thing in the world is a smart idiot. Too many people give heed to the words of someone who is believed to be smart (I.E. doctors), without actually listening to what they say. People will assume, oh he has a PhD what he says must be right! Whist he goes on spewing bullshit. The same can be said for really well spoken people. Guy can be a total moron, but if he is well spoken or really charasmatic people will listen differently. Ex. Rey Lewis, listen to him speak and he actually just spews nonsensical shit. But because he is charasmatic and well spoken people think he said something intelligent. Be very thankful Carson has no charisma and isn't very well spoken. If he was he would be your next president. |

I think Ray Lewis is intelligent. He's got a college degree from a really good school, great life experience, and he knows everything there is to know about people, teamwork and business. He also wrote (not ghostwrote) a very good book. He's not talking about rational, logical thing when he preaches, as most preachers don't. If you want to learn about using both charisma and intelligence, I suggest you follow Ray on facebook. He posts some very wise stuff, and a lot of preaching too.
I would just encourage you to not judge a guy too strongly because he's evangelizing. It's not like that's all he does, anyway.

I wasn't really calling Lewis unintelligent, I was using the way he speaks as an example. If you actually listen to much of what he would say in his hype up speeches and things of the sort, a lot of it was total nonsense, that didn't actually make any sense. That didn't stop people from believing it has deep meaning, or getting totally hyped up from it. My point here wasn't to call Lewis an idiot, just that charisma and sounding like you know what you are talking about will get people to follow you. |
