Patriots work out Plaxico Burress. Very unlikely he will get signed, but in the case they do sign him, they will have 3 amazing red zone threats in Gronk, Hernandez, Plax, then a deep threat in Lloyd and Gaffney. Checkdown routes with Welker and Branch. Backfield throws with Woodhead and Vereen. Occasional throws to Shiancoe, Edelman, Slater. IDK if Branch or Stallworth will make the team if Plax is signed

I thought the TD record would be in jeopardy once Lloyd signed. I can't see the Patriots offense being stopped if they can protect Brady.jeffkkk, any objections to this thread being moved to the NFL forum? The Bills, Steelers, and Giants (twice) say otherwise. The past is the past. Lloyd gives them 4 quality options. They have better receivers as back-ups to. Don't forget about Fells at TE. It's as potent an offense as i've ever seen. The only way to stop this offense will be to get to Brady.

Yeah, and based on what I've read about the first preseason game of the Patriots, that might be a concern. The offensive line wasn't doing its job very well. Eventhough it was a preseason game, the Patriots seem to be at least somewhat concerned, because I've heard they have an interest in Chad Clifton.
I think the offensive line has been one of the biggest strengths of the Patriots. They'll need to play well and give Brady a chance.

You guys are kidding right? Isnt Tom Brady that guy with the wicked accent that no one can understand? I doubt he'll get 20 TD's his team wont be able to understand him.

I don't think Mankins, Vollmer or Waters were playing in that game.... but I still don't think Solder is ready for that LT spot yet

What makes you think he'll be better this year? More passing options won't protect Brady from the quality defenses in the playoffs.

More passing options won't protect Brady from the quality defenses in the playoffs. To an extent it will. Last year Brady had 3 targets. The back-ups were ok but little more than fill-ins. Fells is a good TE and I expect him to win the 3rd TE role. Lloyd is an excellent and under-rated WR. Branch, (last year's starter) might end up as the 4th WR. If targets get open quicker and more often that will help against the pass rush.

The Pats didn't beat ONE team with a winning record before they signed Billy Cundiff and Lee Evans; they're gone now.. B*tch Boots Brady will have a tougher time this year.. 60 tds? Crazy talk.

Crazy talk. why are you calling the Ravens a below 0.500 record??? btw the Patriots have a 3-3 against playoff teams who gives a damnn about above 0.500 mark
