I think Datone Jones is very good player, but would have no spot in our scheme. He essentially does the exact same thing Armond Armstead does, who we just signed from the cfl. Usually a cfl signing is meaningless, but Armstead was late 1st-early 2nd talent before he had a heart attack from pain killers. He went up to the cfl for a year and played great. Reports said he had an offer from almost every team and we are paying him 2nd round money. An interior pass rusher is possible, but Jones is more of a fit on the edge.
The other problem is Desmond Trufant isnt even a first round pick in your mock draft. Which makes no sense to me. If Trufant is on the board at 29, I see no way the Pats pass up on him.

Not bad at all. My thoughts: [1] I do not think WR and DT are a need for CAR and TB, respectively, at least in the 1st round. CAR needs someone on defense, and TB NEEDS a CB. [2] I do not think Ansah falls that far. Teams will not want to risk passing up on a possible future star. [3] You see MIN NOT drafting a WR in the 1st after losing Harvin, and really having no one to rely on at the position? When it came to TB and CAR's picks, it was a BPA situation. I read that DT is something of a need in TB and I didn't want them to reach for a player like Rhodes, who is projected as a mid-to-late first round draft pick. As for CAR, Patterson was BPA and he and Newton would make an explosive tandem. Ansah, almost, was a Dolphin in this mock but I thought the Dolphins FA wanted someone more refined for a DE and he was in their own backyard. And someone already brought up Jennings in Minnesota. I could have given them a WR like Hopkins but I felt they had to shore up their defense, so I gave them a CB and DT instead.
