Welcome back! and Jamarcus Russel would be a lovely offensive lineman! However I don't believe he is smart enough to play o-line.. he might have to play the easiest position as far as mental ability in the NFL.. NT...

Wait.. that might be too complicated for Russell.. Actually, to get serious, NT's are also involved on a lot of defensive blocking schemes as well. They are trying to close certain lanes, while leaving others open where the backers would be there to either get at the QB or to funnel the RB to them to prevent a big run. Of course it doesnt always work, but it doesnt always not work too. They also need to be able to read what type of scheme the offensive line is trying to open up and how to fight it. Are they doubling me? Or are they trying to get me to go to the outside on purpose? All while being in a sumo match with the guy(s) in front of you

But in truth what is an easier position (other than Kicker but that doesn't count ) than NT as far as really needing to be intelligent?? I know it still requires smarts and I definitely know that is one of the most important positions on a defense!
