Well, after Wilson's pro day...he's probably top 5 QB selected. I mean, I know he's throwing with no lineman in front, no pads, nobody rushing him, and no corner on the WR...but scouts still put stock into pro days. And Wilson was crazy good. Completed 77 of 84 and 6 of the 7 incompletions were drops. Representatives from all 32 NFL teams were at the Arky pro day. He should still be #1, don't understand how scouts don't realize that terrible teammates/terrible playcalling put him in a very tough spot. He's got everything. Accuracy, arm strength, pocket presence, and mobility in the pocket. Maybe they do realize it..maybe he goes really early, even before Geno...and it's just the "experts" who don't think he's a good QB. He's also got leadership and toughness. As tough as any QB I've ever seen. And that's not me being a homer, most people will agree on that. I don't get why people criticize his arm strength. I've always thought he has really good arm strength, but everyone's always criticizing it, and I don't get it. One thing I do agree with though...he's taken a lot of criticism for his sidearm throwing. And that's not good. Each game, it seemed he started throwing a little more sidearm when rushed. He would try to get the ball out as quickly as possible because of the beating he took all year, and it started affecting his throwing motion, which is probably why everyone thinks his arm strength is bad. Cause he wasn't putting everything into it. That's an issue he'll need to fix. If he goes to a team with a good OLine, then I think he'll be very successful. If he goes to a team like the Cards...he's gonna take a beating and with the hits he's willing to take...I doubt he'll be able to stay healthy.

Wilson took such a beating this year...the OLine was sickeningly bad. It did improve late in the year, though. Still sucked, but Wilson wasn't even pressured much during the LSU game..and their DLine was legit.
He was in the worst situation of any QBs in the draft...a sucky HC, a sucky OC, a sucky OLine, sucky receiving corps (Gragg played in 5 games, 3 full games and was still the #2 WR), no run game to rely on till Dennis Johnson took over the starting job. And put up admirable numbers for the crap he was in imo.

If anyone cares to watch this:
An example of what the Arky season has been like...drops by WRs, uder a lot of pressure (wasn't too bad)...certainly not a perfect game for Wilson..had quite a few throws that weren't very good. But there were 5 or 6 drops that game...on his 1st pick McKay just sat there while the defender made a play on the ball.

@eagle: I just rewatched the tape on Geno in the Baylor game. I'll say the same thing I did then. That was a great game. Geno made some very, very good throws. After that game in the regular season, I said he was a good QB, but waaayyyy overhyped. Everyone was Geno crazy cause of his stats the 1st 5 games. Did you see how many blown coverages there were that game? He had a WR open every other throw...with that said, a couple of those TD passes were beauties. The fade route he threw when the dude was covered. Perfect. Couldn't have been thrown any better. On 2 deep balls that game, his WR was tightly covered. And Geno delivered it PERFECTLY. There were a couple misfires that game, but I was impressed with Geno after that game, but I look at it..and it's still kind of the same story in that game. Wide open WRs, little short passes and his WR pads his stats by running downfield. Several screens. But the difference was he made quite a few very good passes. And only had a couple that were actually bad. But the Baylor game was the exception. From what I saw in every other game I saw Geno in, I stick by what I've said.

I also rewatched the tape on TCU and KSU..and it looks like the same thing I've been saying. I'll watch some more later.

By the way...watching Geno tape, I'm seeing how much of a BEAST J.D. Woods is...

Funny I've never heard him mentioned or even mentioned him myself...he's one of the WVU WRs... MO do you know anything about him? What year he's in, how high he's rated?
