Salary cap issues are going to be a huge problem next year for us. We're going to be $15 mil over apparently and Gettleman just laughed when he was asked about it. I don't expect to see many changes this offseason, but I have a feeling a lot of changes will be made in 2014. This is Rivera's last chance to prove he can be a viable coach the ENTIRE year. Gross will possibly be cut or traded. Gamble's contract is up in 2 years and he likely will not be resigned. Beason should be traded or have his contract restructured. I think he holds the most trade value of our disposable LB's. Maybe Baltimore would come calling if he was put on the block? Williams, Stewart, or both could be cut or traded. Greg Hardy will be a FA after next season. And Smitty will likely be gone in the next year or 2.
Things will definitely start getting interesting in the next year or two and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm somewhat confident that Gettleman will be able to handle personnel a lot better than Hurney did... or at the very least, have enough common sense NOT to sink $89 million into 3 RB's...

I'm not looking forward to it, I really like Gamble, Smitty, & J-Stew, if we lost all of them, I'd cry.

Big Day for off season Panthers news. I haven't had a chance to read through it thorougly but looks as if the Big Cat wants the team sold off not long after he dies. www.wbtv.com/story/20601678/jerry-richardson-mandates-carolina-panthers-be-sold-after-deathwhat does that mean for football in Charlotte? I hope their are stipulations to the buyer. Also, City of Charlotte approved a 125 million dollar payment to the Panthers for improvements to the stadium. I hope there was a stipulation in that money to keep them here. What do you panthers fans think? Anyway the team would relocate if an owner without local ties buys the team? I think the fact that they would own the stadium and would have to pay a relocation fee of upto $400 million to the league would deter them.

I think the fact that they would own the stadium and would have to pay a relocation fee of upto $400 million to the league would deter them. One excerpt from the article: What I get from that is simple: If the city gives up the $125 mil towards renovations to the stadium, the team will commit to stay in Charlotte and whoever buys the team after JR's death wouldn't be able to move. Trust me... the team isn't going anywhere b/c Charlotte will pay up. This is just a strategy that all owners use if the city is being standoff-ish with investing money towards renovations or a brand new stadium altogether. They hit them with the "pay up or risk a relocation" card and eventually the city gives in. And right now, the city has no bargaining power whatsoever. JR owns the stadium and could sell or relocate the team at the drop of a hat. It's completely in the hands of the city whether or not the team stays and $125 mil is nothing compared to what other cities would have to pay.

I just hope the City was smart enough to get some sort of an agreement with JR. Knowing a lot of the council members in a professional capacity, I don't know if they are "smart" enough to get it done the right way.

Ken Dorsey's kids go to school with my son so I have talked to him quite a bit and I have been trying to get him give me "some inside info" as to who they are interested in for the draft but he is being stubborn. Finally I think he about to crack. he goes, "I got some info for you today but don't tell anybody" So I say "ofcourse not". He leans in and whispers, "I hear Tim Tebow is going to be available."
This he just laughed his but off and walked away.
