Saints top 6 OL? LOL, no way. their pass blocking isnt as good as it was last year but its still good but their run blocking sucks, quite a bit of their RBs yards comes after contact

I thing it is highly highly highly doubtful he gets traded. Jerry Richardson loves him. Bud Adams loved Vince Young, as well, when Young played for the Titans and you see how that turned out. Yes, he chose Fisher over Young in the end, but it caused too much turmoil b/w Fisher and Adams in the process. And no, I'm not saying Newton is VY.2, but it didn't help the Titans when the owner insisted on Young as the starter when the coach didn't believe he was capable. Low and behold, Fisher was right in the end. Young couldn't even hold a roster spot on the Bills as a backup. What I'm getting at is, Ernie Accorsi... the same guy who helped bring Dimitroff to the Falcons... is consulting in the GM search. Whoever Accorsi helps bring in as the new GM, if that GM doesn't think Newton is capable of being his guy and wants to trade him and bring in his own, then Jerry should roll with it. I don't see Cam getting traded either, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Either way, I'll support whatever decision is made. I will be very much pissed if they do trade him. Not very likely they do though can't remember where but I saw some scenario percentages and only like 32 % of the time a new gm brings in a new qb right away and lets face it this draft is qb weak the way things look right now. Rivera needs to be pooping bricks though 73 % of the time a new gm right away nabs a new headcoach.

Lot of news today... Sherrord Matin and Antwan Applewhite go to IR. Jeremy Bridges is cut, so now our RGs look like Hangartner, Byers, and Garry Williams. Yay! (/sarcasm) Armond Smith has been activated from the Practice squad, he plays RB. Whiiiiiiiiiiiich means Jonathan Stewart might be heading to IR. With as lousy as our oline depth has looked this season they had better be sure that Campbell can be a lt because it would have been great to see what we have in him but they don't seem to want to try him out anywhere else. Thomas Austin has been promoted for the 53 man roster too, so maybe Hangartner will play RG and save Cam's life. Kendrick Burney and Dominic Alford are added to the PS. I liked Burney Preseason of 2011, but I liked Robert McClain more, someone who is now the first backup in Atlanta. Mario Addison is replacing Applewhite. www.catscratchreader.com/2012/12/4/3728422/carolina-panthers-send-sherrod-martin-to-ir-make-roster-moves-because

I don't see any logical reason why the GM would keep him around considering the team is standing at 3-9 right now. As far as Newton goes, I see next year as his trial period for the new GM. This offseason, Newton's going to have 2 years remaining on his 4 year contract and after next season, he's going to want a new deal before his rookie contract runs out. IF he doesn't play to the new GM's expectations next season, I would not be surprised at all if he ended up on the trading block come 2014.

Might be an ugly week Dwan Edwards, Charles Godfrey, Jonathon Stewart, Brandon Lafell, and James Anderson all didn't participate in practice this week.

Does a guy on a losing team get a rookie of the year for the second year in a row? I read on NFL.com where one writer had Kuechly and Bobby Wagner from Seattle as the front runners, but Wagner would probably get it over Kuechly, though.
