It had to be done. Memphis is a small market, and having three players making tons of money (Gay, Randolph, Gasol) is not good for a small market team. We didn't get the sh*t end of the stick though. Prince is a great veteran player who will add consistency to the SF position, and he won't take as many shots as Gay so it allows the Grizzlies to run the offense through our frontcourt, which is the strength of our team. We also get Ed Davis, who is a very promising player and he has a bright future. Daye sucks though.
Call me crazy, but Memphis might have won this trade. This helps our depleted bench very. I will miss Rudy Gay very much, but it had to be done.

"MarchingOn: Can somebody please tell me WHAT THE HELL the grizzlies are doing??" That was my first reaction, but the I thought about it and now I understand why the move was made.

We don't have a scorer we can athletically create shots now, which will be an issue. I like Prince, but he is old. We need a SF that can score and be reliable on the other end of the court (Quincy Pondexter)

It was a great move for Memphis.
Rudy Gay, for all his skills, is REALLY inefficient.

Hmmmmm. Maybe the Grizzlies are 3rd in the west and have won 14 of their last 15 games?
