Congrats on John Kelly. But I don't know how or why you're okay with this. You literally pulled a scholarship from a guy that had been committed to you for 6 months. And you did it two weeks before signing day. That's an dirty move by Butch.. Never said I was ok with it. I'll admit it's pretty sad. I really feel for the guy. He was ready to play in orange and was as solid as they come. But recruiting can be a very dirty, unpleasant business and sometimes guys get recruited over. It happens at all top programs. it's just the nature of it. Either way Ford will be a heck of a lineman at Rutgers if he chooses to stick there. Butch certainly could have handled this better though. But hell there have been guys told to walk on signing day. Not the first time this has happened. If a school like Florida or WVU comes calling close to NSD I doubt he signs with rutgers. +1 Fair enough. I'm interested to see how Tennessee closes out the rest of its class. I also wonder if there will be any decommitments? You did just lose your OC, and sometimes players will also bolt if their favorite coach leaves. I wonder if UT will hire internally or bring in a new OC from the outside. Lurking Tennessee boards, I saw Zach Azzani (UT WRs coach), Sonny Cumbie (TCU co-OC and QBs coach), and Calvin Magee (Arizona OC) as some potential options. I don't know much about Azzani, but Cumbie and Magee would be good replacements.

The 2 wildcards are Juco WR Camion Patrick and OLB Quarte Sapp, who's had UT out in front forever and has almost pulled the trigger multiple times but apparently he's waiting for that "dream offer" from FSU. I doubt they offer so if he waits too long he could find us with no room to take another LB. On the coaching search, Azzani remains the fan and probably internal favorite, but apparently he is viewed as a rising star in the coaching world and it looks like there is a high probability that Central Mich. offers him the HC gig. He's our recruiting coordinator and probably our 2nd strongest recruiter. Would really hate to lose him. He's very loyal to Butch from what I've read, but if he bolts it will not be good. At that point I would watch WR Preston Williams to possibly flip to either Georgia or Auburn and for us to pull the trigger on Patrick cause if we want him he's ours. God I would hate to lose him as well and others might start looking around too. As for other potential replacements you're right on with Magee and Cumbie (who would be my #1 choice), but I would really watch longtime NFL/College assistant Mike DeBord who's been out of coaching for a few years. It looks like he is the most likely at this point which I really am worried about. Not a big fan of the guy. Also I'm seeing a lot about Texas (AKA UTjr)'s QB commit Zach Gentry flipping to Michigan. Would be a huge pull for the Wolverines. At one point he was considered a Vol-lock.

What he did with TCU's offense and Trevone Boykin is impressive. Yeah.. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but Gentry looks probable to flip, and I'm really happy about that. I'm a big fan of his. 6'7 230, rocket for an arm, and he's actually pretty mobile which is rare for a guy of his size. I'm hoping we can also get TE Chris Clark back into the fold. He was originally committed to Michigan, but decommitted when it became clear Hoke was going to get fired. But Harbaugh might be able to regain his commitment. Besides those two, nobody else really "noteworthy" as far as high ranking prospects, just some three stars that we're flipping from other schools. Harbaugh will really make his mark in the 2016 class.

Marshall commits to SC! Him and Jackson are going to wreck havoc for at least the next 2 years.

Definitely happy with how signing day turned out for Michigan.
Harbaugh had three weeks to recruit these kids, as opposed to every other school recruiting them for over a year.
Despite that, Harbaugh landed 8 commitments, 6 of which he flipped from other schools. One of the other prospects he landed is a kid from the state of Florida who had offers from the in-state powerhouses, he was expected to pick FSU but picked Michigan in a shocker.
We missed on some players, but all in all I thought we made out like bandits. It was always unrealistic to think Harbaugh comes here and immediately flips big name players due to the name value and reputation he has. Saying "Hey, I'm Jim Harbaugh, that's reason enough to come play for me" doesn't work with recruits.

Texas stud RB Soso Jamabo chooses UCLA.
Why, you ask?
No argument there.

SC has the number one class on Rivals. The future is very bright. OSU has the #12 class in the Pac12. Very bright from the bottom.

Beavs win week 1 Michigan plays Utah week one. I think Oregon St's week 1 game is against Michigan, but for Michigan, Oregon St is our week 2 game. The only "big name" prospect Harbaugh was able to flip is QB Zach Gentry, rated as the #4 QB on Rivals. We flipped him from Texas. Besides that, on national signing day we added a lot of really nice developmental guys who have the potential to really outplay their rating. - DE Shelton Johnson from Florida. Had offers from FSU and Miami. He's a twig right now at 220 pounds, but he has the frame to add a bunch of weight without sacrificing athleticism. 6'5 and highly athletic. When he adds weight he could be dominant. - CB Keith Washington from Alabama. 6'2, also highly athletic, he's only played CB for one year (was a QB before) so he still has a lot of learning to do at the CB position. Again, when he gets coached up at CB, he could be a lot better than the 3 star rating he was given. - RB Karan Higdon from Florida. Played in Florida's toughest high school division running behind a terrible OL, still put up good stats. He doesn't have the highest ceiling imo, but he's got a high floor. Solid prospect all around, but not eye-popping. - TE/DE Tyrone Wheatley Jr from NY - Legacy kid obviously, son of our RB coach Tyrone Wheatley. He's a 4* TE prospect, also a 4* DE prospect on some sites. Could be solid at whichever position he plays.
