For me, it has gotten to the point where I can only laugh in shame when someone else on the Steelers gets injured. For example, just look at our Corner Back situation. Against the Cowboys, the Steelers lost the 3rd of their Top 3 CBs to injury in Keenan Lewis. He strained his groin in the 2nd Half and never returned to the game. CB DeMarcus Van Dyke also left the game with a separated shoulder. That leaves us with 2011 3rd Round Pick Curtis Brown (who was benched last week and didn't play most of the Cowboys game), and 2012 Undrafted Free Agents Josh Victorian and converted safety Robert Golden as our only healthy CBs.
I highly doubt the Steelers will make the playoffs now. They have the talent to be a Super Bowl contender, but no one on the effing team can stay healthy long enough to generate some sense of consistency.

I know how you feel. The Rams lost 8 CBs to injury last year. You can't win with 5th and 6th choice CBs. When you go below that you can't even compete. You just wait for the mistakes.

Not worse than the Cowboys. At least you had your Front 7 healthy. How would you like to be missing Lawrence Timmons, Larry Foote, Casey Hampton, Polamalu, Ike Taylor, Cortez Allen all out for the year? Dallas has the equivalent of those guys on IR.

Try losing your 2nd, 3rd & 4th WR & 1st TE our receiving corps is an absolute joke. Not to mench we have had a different combination in the secondary every single game this season pretty much.
I don't think we would of got many more wins anyway we have being awful this season... But depth really does count down the stretch when injuries do take there toll.

our secondary is full of 7th round picks and UDFAs... none have been in the league longer than 3 years...

and now you know how i felt in preseason. the bengal injuries were just terrible during that point
the bengals lost 2 of there starting OL players in preseason for out of the season with LG travelle wharton and then C kyle cook (cook is back finally, but not having him for the whole year sucked)
but during that jets game, i swear 4 players got hurt in like 5 minutes of the game. rey maualuga, taylor mays, benjarvus green ellis, carlos dunlap.....
at some point, the bengals did lose one of there best players on the defense IMO with OLB thomas howard and not having him has really made our LB's look like crap this year
CB jason allen signed in the offseason should of been playing alot this year, but instead guys like terence newman are playing more than him. hell the secondary was such a joke they had to go resign S chris crocker at some point.
the biggest scare was watching dalton get hurt in preseason. the injuries were terrible and i though the season was over
thankfully the bengals are at 8-6 now, but you gotta wonder if they would be better if the injuries didnt hit them. hell i will wonder about these injuries especially if we dont make the playoffs

Yep it sucks. But injuries are no excuse, all teams get hit by them.
We just have to find a way to win these next 2 games and hope to have as many people back as possible for the playoffs. If Ike Taylor isn't back for the playoffs, if we make it, then we will be destroyed by the Broncs or Pats*.
I still say Troy coming back hurt us.... We looked amazing on D the weeks before he returned. Clark and Allen were doing great.
