(kansas city doesnt have two 4th round picks BTW so i dont know where you got that info) We will get a comp pick for Carr. Some people say we will get a third like the Raiders did. I just did a fourth though.

if the chiefs go back to free agency for a QB, then they are just going back on the old road again like they did with matt cassell NO this team has no choice BUT to draft a QB at some point. the future of the franchise QB's happen in the 1st round. if you want to succeed, you take a QB in the 1st round only on rare occasions do QB's that didnt get drafted in the 1st round happen to become franchise QB's maybe (andy dalton, russell wilson, colin kaepernick) but even these guys havent proven themselves enough yet to be the future of the teams yet So the Chiefs should just allow themselves to be forced into a #1 overall selection who isn't really #1? Good franchises don't find success in this league by playing the passive card. They need to take the player who they think will be the best football player in the next 10 years out of this draft and you can't seriously sit there and tell me that will be Geno Smith. Do you see a Superbowl champion QB from Geno Smith? Matt Barkely? Tyler Wilson? We all need to accept the facts and face the music: This isn't a draft that will net you a franchise signal caller who can make your team a quality contender. The Chiefs need to accept that and look out for the future in 2014 or even later. Rival executives are going to HOPE for teams to take these QBs in the 1st round instead of grabbing a player who actually deserves the selection. on draft days in the past, everyone including myself didnt see guys like matt stafford and cam newton as guys worthy as the #1 pick because they werent the best players on the board. yet both players now look like the face of there franchises now. i certainly didnt believe in stafford at all and i figured the lions should of drafted either aaron curry or jason smith (well good thing i wasnt there GM). QB is hard to predict, but taking a QB is always a gamble in the 1st round, but thats how its always gonna be and at the end of the day, those 1st round QBs are whats gonna give you the best chance now and for the future. of course they wont be a superbowl contender right away with a rookie QB, but it will look alot better longterm compared to just "shorterm" replacements like matt flynn and alex smith who i cannot see as better options compared to the rookie QB's.

jancey-arkansas's OL is better than west virginia's. the problem is they are playing in the SEC. put that arkansas OL in the big 12 and they wont struggle that bad. you have alvin bailey at OG whos gonna be drafted at some point in this nfl draft. plus your C travis swanson who looks like a future 1st round pick or 2nd round pick as well. thats 2 more OL than west virginia doesnt have. i swear to you i cannot name any outstanding OL players on west virginia if you asked me now, because their are none
if the cincinnati bearcats OL plays better than arkansas OL, does that mean there OL is better than arkansas? no. because they play in the crappy big east where arkansas plays in the biggest powerhouse conference there is
-----------
and another thing, there ARE people who think tyler wilson is a better QB than geno smith, because you are clearly one of them. along with mitch and marchingon, and more people on here that i cant remember
now if its going to a standpoint of saying "whos gonna have a better career" than that i can agree with. but that depends on his team. put wilson on the chiefs or jaguars, and i bet he will struggle too. put him on a team like cardinals that has alot of talent, and i bet he plays very good
what matters is how can a QB change there quickly. you have to learn to play good even with bad talent on teams. wilson has the strongest arm in the class, but if you cant overcome the struggles at arkansas, what do you think is gonna happen when he goes to a bad team in the nfl?

you have been hanging out with jancey WAY WAY WAY too much the QB class sucks, but right now smith IS the best QB in the draft. Why do you think that? hes the best now because he has the bigger potential on him. the mechanics are a big problem with him right now, but its fixable newton was the same way who had alot of potential on him, but didnt clearly look like the best QB in the draft. it all goes down to who can have the bigger boom right now the ceiling on smith compared to barkley and wilson are better
