tannehill is still average though. it clearly shows, because look at the success that texas a&m is having with johnny manziel right now. That's not fair to Tannehill. Manziel has MUCH better coaching that Tannehill did at A&M. Plus, the offense is more centered around Manziel, he is asked to do much more than Tannehill was.

Plus, the offense is more centered around Manziel, he is asked to do much more than Tannehill was. tannehill had mike sherman who already coached in the nfl before at the time, and then went back to college, and is now coaching tannehill with the phins. sherman wasnt a great nfl coach, but at least he helped tannehill out in a prostyle offense kevin sumlin only coached one year so far, so its too early to say hes a better coach. if anything is good, its that OL especially considering that there LT luke joeckel might be the best nfl prospect right now but manziel is like no other QB ive seen in a while. i honestly dont remember the last time ive seen a QB that was a freshman play this good. manziel is just a better prospect than tannehill when its all said and done IMO. its not the coaching. manziel will be a future #1 pick.

I thought Tannehill would struggle if he started from the begging because he's only played QB for two seasons.

Well obviously Sumlin can't match Sherman's accomplishments as a coach yet, but I've watched teams coached by both in person several times and I'd take Sumlin every single day.

Wow. I thought he was mediocre at best. When I entered this thread I thought it would be, "I was wrong, he ISN'T good. Maybe I missed something.
