What happened on Allen's play that was deemed illegal? Lance Louis was unaware of Jared Allen coming into him, and Allen's helmet didn't seem to have a huge impact on Lance Louis' head, Allen led with his hands
About the Ndamukong Suh's play, when Suh was falling over Derek Newton, he lifted his left leg and it seemed it was with the intention of hitting Matt Schaub, it wasn't necessary for him to lift up his leg
Voted Suh

Meh. I don't think Suh even intended on falling over, the offensive lineman clearly pulled him to the ground here.

While the reason why Louis fell down was because Allen pushed him, there was obvious helmet contact. It was also a blindside hit, which, thanks to Hines Ward, is illegal.

I am not convinced that Suh was trying to kick Shaub. There is no straightening of his knee or change of leg direction.
Allen's play is 100% illegal and dangerous. I didn't see the game or see this incident from other angles so I can't say if it is a blindside block...but it doesn't really matter. Allen is guilty of launching and this is a poster play for the offence. It is far worse than the Golden Tate block from earlier in the year. Tate didn't launch and the illegality of the play was determined by whether he was moving towards his own goal-line or directly across the field - an idiotic determination of a foul!

His leg is in the ground, then he lifts his foot upwards, he could have fallen without raising his leg

Maybe you know, stay on his feet and tackle the QB like he's payed to do?
