I may have some experience at creating characters, but I am just one of the many prolific and entertaining storytellers here. So, I’ll start. What did these characters do that got them in trouble that weekend in Vegas?
BRYCE WALTERS, III is the son of “old money.” He jumped on his private jet, which he stores in his daddy’s hanger at NY LaGuardia, and flew out to Vegas to attend a members only meeting at Mandalay Bay’s Foundation Room—and, you know, take in the nightlife “jet set” style.
Although they have been dating for two years, this is the first time Bryce has allowed his girlfriend Tracy to tag along with him on one of these regular trips to Vegas. She has been bugging him for days about wanting to see some elaborate acrobatic show (Circus something, he thinks), and dance the night away at a Taos. Bryce would prefer a quieter, more sophisticated venue, and spending the evening sipping fine wine on the 64th floor patio at Mix. So, he plants the idea of shopping for a Gucci dress and an in-room spa treatment in Tracy’s head, hoping that their VIP club-hopping night out can start with his choice--and also doesn't stretch into the wee morning at Drais.
Breezing through VIP service at McCarran airport, the pair are just stepping out of the airport when Bryce’s phone rings. It’s Wayne, Bryce’s VIP host, informing him that his wire transfer has been deposited into his account and $500K in markers will be waiting for him at the casino cage. Bryce smiles, steps into his waiting limo, and closes his phone. Although he lost a quarter mil at the BJ table on his last Vegas trip, he feels Lady Luck riding high with him tonight.

DEREK GRANT flew out to Vegas on a first-class ticket with plans to attend this weekend’s poker tournament downtown. A video gaming whiz and the co-owner of Galactic Gaming in Chicago, when Derek is not staring at his computer screen, or staring down the other poker competitors, he likes to stare at the lovely ladies. And--there is no better place for all of these “games” than in Vegas.
Derek already dialed up his VIP host, Tina, and let her know he was in town for the weekend. Tina is –THE MAN TO SEE (or the GIRL, in this case) when you want access to all the exclusive Vegas clubs and entertainment. With Tina on his crew, Derek knows he can relax--his social calendar will be packed full of events upon his arrival. Unfortunately, that arrival was delayed due to weather. So, when Derek finally passes through McCarran’s baggage claim, he is starving, and looking forward to stopping for a greasy IN-N-OUT burger before meeting up with Tina.

JAMES CONNER is an equipment salesman from Dallas. Every year for the last six years, James’s company has sent their three-person sales force to Vegas to man a trade show booth at the national manufacturer convention. When not working the floor during the day, James usually spends his free-time in Vegas on the golf course, a sporting event, a sports book, or a slot tournament. However, last year, he was finally persuaded to join the other salesmen at a karaoke bar. James ended up drinking a number of those big fruity cocktails, sang a country and western song, took a cab to a downtown dive restaurant for a midnight steak dinner, and ended the evening at a strip club.
It was more fun than James has had in years. But, when the guys got back to work the next week, no one mentioned it again, so James just figured it was that “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” motto, and didn’t bring it up either. However, now sitting in his coach seat waiting for the airport crew to open the plane door at the Vegas gate, James cannot contain his curiosity any longer, so he asks: “Was anybody thinking about checking out the Cheetah tonight?” In unison, the group laughs. “How about we start with the Pussycat Dolls, and see how it goes from there,” suggests the senior salesman in the group. James’s face turns red, and he nods his head. Fortunately, at that moment, the plane door pops open, the other men jump up from their seats to grab their carry-ons. The conversation quickly passes.
The other passengers have filed out ahead of him, but James takes his time. Finally, donning his cowboy hat and with bag in hand, James turns to leave---and finds he is the last passenger left on board.

MORGAN TIGO is a lawyer and Vegas local. It’s her birthday this weekend, and three of her Boston friends are flying in to celebrate. Because she lives in Henderson-- and this is the first time her friends have been to Vegas-- Morgan booked a two-room suite at the MGM Grand for the group. Morgan plans on doing the “tourist tour” with the girls this afternoon, before they head downtown for the Fremont Street Experience tonight.
Every night, some venue in Vegas is hosting a local’s night, and Morgan hopes to convince her friends to by-pass the tourist glitz and try her world for one night. Just one night. Because Saturday is Morgan’s birthday celebration and she wants the crew to pull out all the stops. The party gets started with a poker tournament downtown, a late dinner at Peppermill, and a quick shower and club clothes change before the Thunder Down Under warm up and party tour to come.
Pulling her car up to passenger loading outside McCarran baggage claim, Morgan waves to her friends standing outside the door. It is barely 40 degrees in Boston today, but the temperature in Vegas is a balmy 85 degrees. The girls have shed their bulky coats, and are melting in the heat. They pile into her car and beg for the A/C. Morgan warns them Sunday’s forecast is 97 degrees and the group groans. Morgan laughs, but doesn’t tell them that she has already planned for them to be suffering through the heat---poolside--in cabana at the Hard Rock’s Rehab.

OK--I'd say that's a start. ;D
