Its finally here. Baseball season starts back up tomorrow. Most of you know how this thread works already, but I will give the quick refresher on why the title is different and what it means. "Tell it like it is" is a no holds barred thread, where you should speak what's on your mind, but don't confuse it with trash talking. The idea originally came from Cbssports as I said in previous years, so I wanted to give them credit on the name of this thread. Usually on the first day of the baseball season, there's only one game, but this year is different with 4 games tomorrow, 3 of which will be on national TV. If you want to know which games will be national televised each day, use the link below. mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/broadcasts/national.jspI know its been very inactive on here as of late, so I'm not expecting a lot of activity, so I will try my best to see how much I can actually post. In order to get some activity, I will purposely rile up some of you by making meme's as a use of trash talk. And yes I will probably post some to insult my Reds since they are going to be terrible. Will post some season predictions later in the day. Feel free to post your 25 man roster and state your opinion on the team. Unfortunately I cannot do so yet to mine, because they still haven't decided. And of course.......GO REDS. We're gonna be #1 this year.........#1 pick in the draft that is. Do not adjust your screen, you read that correct. Heck I'll even post a meme right now of why this team is bad.

Jays 2016 roster
C - Russell Martin 1st - Chris Collabello 2nd - Ryan Goins 3rd - Josh Donaldson SS - Troy Tulowiski LF - Michael Saunders CF - Kevin Pillar RF - Jose Bautista DH - Edwin Encarnacion
Bench C - Josh Thole 1st - Justin Smoak INF - Darwin Barney INF - Devon Travis* OF - Ezekiel Carrera
Pitching Rotation 1. Marcus Stroman 2. Marco Estrada* 3. R.A. Dickey 4. J.A. Happ 5. Aaron Sanchez
Bullpen CL - Roberto Osuna Brett Cecil Drew Storen Aaron Loup* Jesse Chavez Gavin Floyd Ryan Tepara Joe Biagi Arnold Leon
Players with a * beside are injured to begin the season.
Tough losing David Price in the off season, but losing Anthopolis as our GM hurt more. I am feeling good coming into this season, but like every year it is going to be very difficult to win the AL east. It's easily the most competitive division in baseball and this year Boston is looking good.
Yankees are always gonna put up a fight and you can never count Tampa. Baltimore looks to have only gotten stronger this off season as well.. Jays have their work cut out.
The big questions this year for me are in our pitching. I have 0 worries when it comes to the Jays hitting, we will score runs. But the questions that need to be answered come from Stroman, Estrada and Sanchez.
Stroman has yet to play a full season, but in his time as a starter he has been magnificent. Can he consistently be the Ace the Jays have missed since Halliday?
Is Estrada a one year wonder? He had his first really good year of his career last season at the age of 31. It's concerning that he doesn't have a history of consistency.
And Sanchez was our 8th inning man most of last year. He is only 24 and has never started a full season in the majors.

Starting Rotation
1. Francisco Liriano 2. Gerrit Cole 3. Jonathan Niese 4. Jeff Locke 5. Juan Nicasio
Bench

Bullpen
Mark Melancon (CL) Tony Watson Jared Hughes* Neftali Feliz Arquimedes Caminero Ryan Vogelsong Cory Luebke Kyle Lobstein
* - Injured to start the season.
The Pirates are going to be hard pressed this season, IMO, to win 90 games again. They might make it to around 87 or so, but with the Cubs the favorites to win, and the Cardinals not going anywhere anytime soon, I just don't see how the Pirates are going to keep pace yet again in the Division, particularly with the relatively quiet offseason they had (at least relatively speaking compared to the Cubs).

Over/Under how many games it takes for Joey Votto to request a trade? The Reds could lose all there games, and he still won't request a trade. He's getting paid 25,500k per year, and he loves it here. Enjoy your time now, because 2 years from now the Reds will be back.

I expect the Reds to make more trades this season, but there's no fricken way they are trading there cornerstone player.
