My kids have just recently started getting introduced to the world of tablets and games on phones. Though I keep a strict watch on how much time they spend playing what on the devices, I feel it's good for them in a way to be hands-on with gadgets from an early age, provided they don't go overboard. And hence, I've recently been on the lookout for interesting games I could introduce them to, such as those which do not take up too much time, are not addictive but still provide a healthy dose of fun. I've come across a couple of them such as this kart racer game called PBS Kids Kart Kingdom in which kids and their avatars drive their machines around tracks, another one with pet games like these in which you adopt a virtual pet online and need to earn virtual currency in order to take care of it, and also the one called Club Penguin which is a virtual world on its own. Could you recommend some more games like these, meant for kids between the ages of 6-10? Thanks in advance!

There is a game called super monkey ball 2 that I have on my Ipod touch. My Cousin who is 13 now absolutely loved it. It was at least a few years ago that she played it so probably around the right age group. You try to get this monkey in a ball through these maze like courses in a certain amount of time while collecting bananas which up your score and such.

Get them into chess.. Greatest game ever invented I agree. My grandson is into chess. He is seven and wins tournaments. He has a great coach though. His dad. In order to teach a kid to play chess, you have to know how to play chess. He beats me everytime. I liked the game as a kid. He also plays video games.
