A hundred thumbs up. That was the first thing I looked at after my coffee. Thanks for a wonderful way to start today!

So about twelve or thirteen years ago, some neighbors way down the street moved out. They left their cat there I guess. The cat found its way into my garage thru a hole I have that used to be for the dryer. For two years the cat lived in my yard and garage. I never feed her. She ate all the lizards, birds, and bugs I think. We would see her now and then, but she was pretty much stealth. So Ten years ago she was sitting in the far corner of the back yard. It was thanks giving. I threw a turkey bone with meat on it to her. I thought she was a feral cat.
Well she started to make friends with my female room mate. We started feeding her. We found out she was fixed and had had kittens before. We became friends with her. She turned into the most hilarious cat I ever saw. She made friends with our dog. She entertained me for the last ten years. She's a pain in the arse but she is really cool. She always goes out side at about five or six am. Then comes back in a few hours.
Yesterday she went outside like usual and I haven't seen her since. I'm really worried and pretty much preparing for her not to come back. Gosh darn it I will miss her. She has been with me for so long. Oh and the female room mate is losing her mind over the cat.
Her name is Miss Puddy. We call her Pud. The first three years I called her Squatter. She just moved into my heart, without my permission.
Please come home Pud.

She's probably close to 14 if she had kittens and was spayed since, might be older than you think. No signs of illness? I wouldn't panic yet. Has she ever stayed out before? Why not go out and look for her? I think you'll find her, probably sleeping outside your door ATM.
My friend in Chicago has/had 2 cats. Just had to put down Miss Kitty, 14. Puddycat, Kittycat. haha Sick, and needed an expensive operation. The other cat Silvie is 15, and not doing great. Very attached to Penny (sleeps in their bed), and meows and meows for attention - always when we're on the phone. She's almost broke, and can ill-afford to lose her mind right now. Pets are hard enough when they're young and healthy. Hope Miss Puddy shows up soon.

No she wasn't sick. She had an abcess removed about a year ago. But was in great health. And we are looking for her believe me. She has never stayed out before. She always hangs close to home. She's a very cautious cat. Actually she's a scardy cat when it comes to strangers or other cats and dogs. Not a fighter, she will run from them.

Not a fighter, she will run from them. 1) Not sick, didn't wander off to die 2) She was once a feral cat, maybe going through a mid-life crisis. lol And street-wise in terms of street traffic, being out every day. 3) Scardy of strangers. Cats don't fight to the death. Dogs? Let's not imagine the worst, cats are fast. Hope to hear good news by tonight, bugs only go so far as far as I'm concerned, not a comfort food like a gourmet can of Sheba.

I checked all the shelters and vet places today. Not there. The drought has made the cayots pretty hungry around here. Gosh I hate to think that is what happened. I'm hoping she just got shut in someones garage.

I'm hoping she just got shut in someones garage. Some cats (dogs too) seem to just take a long trip occasionally. I've got outside cats, and every once in a while one will go missing for a week or so. But more often than not they make it back. Hard to beat a scheduled meal and all the female companionship they could want.

I've had cats that do that also Mork. This one has never done that in all the years I've owned her. So we shall see. Thanks for the support you guys. It is really hard losing a pet. I love my cat and dog. It's hard enough when they die, in this case its hard because we have no idea what has happened to her.
