Jeff since when do you own the copyright on God? Yes, Leviticus and Romans spit on gay sex, but they don't say anything about marriage. You don't think sodomy wasn't happening already? This ruling, and gay marriage as well, don't have anything to do with sodomy, which is what the bible defines as a sin. Unless you think "lying with a man" refers to lying down watching Netflix. People have come to interpret Leviticus to mean that Christians should hate homosexuality because it's a sin. I interpret it to mean that we need to forgive and love gay people the way we do anyone who commits any sin. To be honest, I don't give a shit about Leviticus, and therfore don't see being gay as a sin. No one should, unless you also think we should put menstruating women in tents, avoid mixed fabrics, and sacrifice animals. Even if you insist on treating the wacky books with the same level of respect as the rest, then you should think about forgiveness and charity for sinners. If you don't want gays to get married, then what you're doing is punishing them for sodomy. If you do that, then you are trying to play God. It's his job, if anyone's, to make moral punishments. I suppose it's possible that I and the majority of Americans are wrong and God really will punish gay people in the afterlife. If that's the case, it's no skin off my bones. It's not like I could (or should) have stopped them from sodomizing themselves. One last fun tip (don't read if you're underage): Sodomy doesn't only apply to gays. If you're straight and have ever acted intimately in any way other than marital missionary position with the intent of having children, and you haven't apologized for it, then you're as guilty as Big Gay Al according to Leviticus. That includes kissing, by the way.

You don't get it. The KKK might have marched with the American flag, and it might have flew over slave ships. But the American flag also represents the abolition of slavery. It also represents many other very good things this country has done throughout the course of history. Hence, me saying it "encompasses everything". The Confederate flag, however, has no real redeeming values. Nothing the Confederacy wanted would be seen as acceptable by today's standards. Practically the only reason the Confederacy even existed in the first place is because they opposed Abraham Lincoln's anti-slavery ideas. No...you dont get it. That confederate flag doesnt stand for slavery and it means and stands for a whole lot more,to a whole lot of people. If you would research it,you would know. But I will get to that in due time. I dont have time tonight to teach you history. I'm looking forward to your "history lesson"

So I agree with that decision.

Should I look up the verse where it says marriage is between a man and a woman? Btw...Not judging. Stating facts. Stating my opinion. Stating my beliefs. Exercising my right to equal rights. Or do you have a problem with that too?

I don't care if anybody is religious or not. Believe what you want to believe, that's perfectly okay. It's only a problem when people try to force those beliefs onto other people. That's exactly my problem with gay rights activists. If I don't support gay rights I get called hateful and bigoted. Nah, you're not a bigot. The definition of a bigot is "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions." If the picture you posted sums up exactly your feelings, then you're very tolerant of gay people. A bigoted person against homosexuality isn't just someone who opposes the practice, but discriminates against them and treats them less than human.

I'm looking forward to your "history lesson" Even if the Confederate flag didn't originate as a symbol of slavery that is what it has turned into for a majority of Americans. So I agree with that decision. I agree. Alot of people see it as a symbol of hate. Which is why I never said anything about it. I dont fly it in my yard, because of that reason. My argument is that its been used as a scapegoat and misconstrued. But if a confederate flag offends people, then why cant a rainbow flag offend people? Cant have it both ways. That wouldnt be equal. It would be hypocrisy.

I'm surprised younger people still read that. My kids are way more advanced than me on technology stuff. And my seven year old grandson can beat me at chess every time. We as older people don't really know more and we don't think you don't know anything. All we have done is experienced more. Have you ever seen your child come out of your wife? If not and you will, its a life changing experience. Especially when back in my day we didn't know boy or girl, healthy or not, ten toes, autistic, or anything. It changed me. The nurse had to revive me. haha.
