I still think he can be a little arrogant at times, and that he needs to slow down the partying a little, but this article really raised my opinion on Gronkowski (at least to a point). The excerpt is from Gronk's upcoming autobiography: "It's good to be Gronk" (sort of early for it, which kinda loses points for me, but yea...anyways..). "To this day, I still haven’t touched one dime of my signing bonus or NFL contract money. I live off my marketing money and haven’t blown it on any big-money expensive cars, expensive jewelry or tattoos and still wear my favorite pair of jeans from high school." finance.yahoo.com/news/rob-gronkowski-hasnt-spent-penny-200150156.htmlIt isn't all that big of an article, but basically, it is saying that Gronk hasn't spent one penny he has made as an NFL player. He only spends the money he makes from marketing and I honestly think more players need to follow that example, at least with being smart with their money.

Gronk will slow down on the partying as he gets older. He is acting not different than the majority of other 20 something year olds in the world. The only difference is he is rich and in the spotlight and as such apparently has to act like a retired person when he isn't playing football, to get respect from people.

Don't you just hate when the guy you dislike isn't quite the douchebag you thought he was...
But I still dislike him for that whole spiking thing and acting mighty while doing it. I thought spiking the ball in celebrations would result in a personal foul. And because he plays for the Patriots, of course.

The high school football stars that never quite grew out of being the big man on campus. You know, those guys who spike their hair up and use as much hair product as possible. They say who you surround yourself with tells you who you are and Gronk surrounding himself with women who like him for probably nothing more than his looks and money strikes a wrong chord with me... But at least he knows how to take advantage of himself and leave behind something for the future unlike some people (coughWarrenSappcough) The early autobiography is still completely self serving though in my opinion...

This sounds like you'd dislike Tony Gonzalez for Dunking the ball on the goalposts. And disliking Tony Gonzalez is unforgivable. We can't be friends anymore Mitch.

Article is well and good, but it's not necessarily what it seems. Just saw a clip recently, he sounded amazing, don't recall the details. Jindred - maybe I'm the only one that doesn't get you on this ^^^^. This sounds like you'd dislike Tony Gonzalez for Dunking the ball on the goalposts. And disliking Tony Gonzalez is unforgivable. We can't be friends anymore Mitch. You might be thinking about Jimmy Graham.

Gonzalez doesn't act all mighty and he doesn't strut like a pigeon like Gronk does.

Gonzo never destroyed the goal post (to my knowledge).

But don't recall.) But dunking the TD was his thing way before Graham was anything.
