If Jacksonville is #1, why would they still be so committed to Bortles that they would pass on Cook and Jones (top 5 picks by your own admission). Again, it seems like a bad choice to think Tennessee would spend a top 10 pick on an offensive tackle when we just draft Poutasi and still have Taylor Lewan from last year's top 10. Tunsil and and Staley are much better prospects than Poutasi, but it still seems like an unlikely choice with such a high pick. It's doubly strange when Jalen Ramsey, Kendall Fuller, Nate Andrews and Cam Sutton are all sitting there available. Tennessee really needs a free safety and a third corner. You don't have Jared Goff in the top 50 players? So you don't think he'll declare I guess? Because Blake Bortles is a very talented player and they would be insane to Draft another Top 5 QB after one season. Bortles has a crap OL and had rookie receivers last year for the most part. Give them time. Also, there is no way anyone should pass up on Joey Bosa with the #1 overall pick. He is that talented. Like J.J. Watt potential talented. He would have been a Top 5 pick last year had he been eligible. Weren't you the one telling me time and time again that your biggest need was at RT? Poutasi was a 3rd Round pick and is probably more suited to Guard than at RT (his body type really isn't suited to the pass rushers of today's NFL). They could very well decide to trade or release Andy Levitre due to not living up to his contract and have Poutasi move to LG. Also, you would be willing to spend a Top 10 pick on a 3rd CB? Must've forgotten about him at that time. Jared Goff is a mystery player though. Some have him Top 15, some have him 3rd Round. I need to see more.

First of all, bortles will have had 2 years by the time this draft happens. In you scenario, his record would be something like 5-27, plus the jags would have a new hc and gm. Unless bortles was playing well individually, his job wouldn't be safe just because he was drafted too high in the first place. The jags drafted Blaine gabbert ahead of jj watt remember.
As I said, rt was the biggest need until we drafted poutasi. He won't be playing guard this year unless Andy levitre gets benched, which looks unlikely. Your scouting report on poutasi is off though. He's a phone booth pass blocking right tacklewho played left tackle his whole college career. Yes only moving because we have lewan. Tennessee also likes high mobility pulling guards, which poutasi couldn't be farther from.
Its totally possible that poutasi busts and we draft tunsil or Staley, but there's no reason to predict that before hrs played a snap.

Even if a young QBs record is bad, even then, why would they cut the string? I mean look how long they hung onto Gabbert. Look how long the Titans held onto Locker. 2 seasons is FAR too early to jump ship from a QB as talented as Bortles. The main reason they are so low is that they have no Offensive Line to speak of (60 sacks last season) and their Defense isn't going to be any better either since Fowler is out for the year. Since when is a bad record the fault of the Quarterback? The Jaguars are probably the least talented team on paper in the NFL this season. Not only that, but the talent they do have on Offense is VERY young. Give them time.

Unless he absolutely shows that he can’t handle it

New GM and HC = new quarterback, and when you've got a worse winning % than Jamarcus Russell, you're on the hot seat. Jacksonville would have 4 different QBs at least to fall in love with. It would almost certainly happen in your scenario.

I wish I could delay a tag so that it went off in six months like some kind of time capsule. This post will be GOLD. I'm just quoting it so that we can look back and laugh together.

I don't understand why we need an LT since we just took Andrus Peat
