And it was expected for Davis to jump out to an early lead because he was expected to take Wichita, which was counted electronically. Most other places were hand counted.

Most other places were hand counted. I was seeing the opposite with a quick google search, it just changed as I was typing this. I now see Brownback up by .5% with 53% reporting.

The Kansas Gubenatorial election doesn't seem very significant to the national picture. The state's district line aren't up for redraw for 6 years and it's unlikely to turn in the presidential election anyway.
The elections for governor that really matter are in Florida (even), Colorado (even), Ohio (republican), Massachusetts (even), and Pennsylvania (democrat).

Well the first time, you can't blame the people for not knowing what Brownback had in store... This time, the people are to blame for re-electing a guy who just finished a term of absolutely destroying Kansas. Why are people so stupid? Juggs I know this race has little national impact, but it means a lot to Kansas and just proves how blindly people will vote. When given the choice of vote against your party or vote for the guy who just destroyed your economy, they still couldn't go against their party.

Well, the governor is the executive authority in the State, but you can't pretend that he alone destroyed your economy. That reductionism is kind of silly. It's like blaming Obama for the federal budget deficit. There's the legislators to blame, his predecessor, the federal government, Obama, local reps, business owners, consumers making bad decisions, wall street etc.
