Bounced in the first round. Unreal considering Nashville was the best team in the entire damn league for the majority of the season. Sputtered at the end. Sigh....
Go Red Wings.

I was cheering for Nashville and the Jets, and now both are out.. Shea Webber being injured really changed the outcome of that series.

I'll be rooting for the winner of the Detroit/Tampa series the rest of the way, with hoping that Detroit beats Tampa. But I like the Lightning a lot too. If both of those teams lose, I'll (ironically) cheer for Chicago because I'm a really big fan of Johnathan Toews and Patrick Kane. Gotta love those guys. After that I really won't care.

Honestly there are only a few teams who I would be sad to see with. The Canucks, the Wings and the Caps. Don't like any of them. The rest of the teams I could kinda care less about at this point. I like the Ducks, as Getzlaf is from my city, and my parents know his and his brother plays on the riders. I'd be happy to see the Flames win, they have been bad for a while, plus I have a soft spot as they were the first professional sports team I ever saw live. Blues, Wild, Rangers and Chicago have some of my favorite players in the league. Habs and Ottawa I don't really like as they are two of the leafs biggest rivals, but I like the games they play, and it would be nice to see a Canadian team win it. I really don't care how it turns out at this point as the teams I was really cheering for are done.

Woot Capitals!! Get outplayed from start to finish the entire game, manage to keep the score even through luck (and the refs calling a super tight game on the Rangers) and then score a miracle goal with one second left to win the game!
The Caps are the Minnesota Vikings of hockey: the playoffs are always a time of spectacular failure. This stuff just never happens to us in the playoffs. Actually that's the sort of thing that often happens to teams in the playoffs against us. The Caps getting a series win and then beating the Rangers in a spectacular game gives me some hope that maybe they can go somewhere...although the Rangers are obviously a much better team and the refs will probably give them plenty of make-up calls after being harsh on them last night.

Jesus Christ GOD DAMMIT what the hell!??! I am so sick of this team losing in the playoffs in the most painful ways. It's like pulling teeth! They put themselves in amazing positions- a 3-1 series lead, and in G6 they were up by three goals on the Rangers only needing to win, and the find a way to blow it! I've never seen anything like this. They're 3-13 in their last 16 games with the potential to decide a playoff series.

After Game 5, the series was pretty much over. Once the Caps failed once, you could feel it falling apart. Still, the way it happened was even more spectacular than some of the other ones.

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOHOOO!! Leafs just signed Mike Babcock as their new head coach!!! Excited!! Congratulations. Best coach in hockey. Hopefully he can bring the Leafs back to prominence, I'd much rather see Toronto on top of Canadian hockey rather than Montreal.
