Portland is far from duck territory. That is why I asked. Portland also has no room or $ for an NFL stadium. Ducks aren't hip and edgy, they're vain and insecure. Just erks me when outsiders link Portland to the ducks....ducks are almost 3 hours south of Portland. you do know that when the Raiders was in LA before they became just that. They still have Hip Hop followers. A fan territory survey was recently done and the Raiders still have a huge SoCal following: io9.com/a-county-by-county-map-of-nfl-allegiance-1631651161
Seriously? The number of Facebook likes of a team's page? Yeah, that's a VERY scientific survey... Huge number of Raider fans? There are far more USC fans. You see Trojan jerseys all over the place. You see Raiders jerseys once in a blue moon. (Btw, that survey says nothing about the numbers, it just says there are more Raiders fans than for any other team...in a city that hasn't had a pro team in 20 years.) It's also telling that Alameda County isn't even dominated by Raiders fans. And those "hip hop" followers? Mostly gang members who thought it made them look "bad" to be a Raider fan.

Dean Spanos met with our mayor today. I thought it was scheduled for tomorrow, but they did it today. From the reports it went well. Dean is happy the task force is going to be done in three months not six. One guy suggested they build the site at Gilespie field. Thats a little air strip two miles from my house. That would be interesting. Easy access from freeways and the trolly already goes there. 180 acres. I like that Idea. I could jump on the trolly and be there at the next stop. five minutes. Of I could walk. www.chargers.com/news/2015/02/22/statement-chargers-regarding-todays-meeting-mayor-0
