Wow, I'd rather they had cut Will Allen. Shamarko Thomas needs to play now, he needs to be the next man off the bench if Troy or Mitchell has to come off the field. I wouldn't mind them getting him in on some nickel downs as well if they have to take Ike Taylor off the field and insert Gay, then so be it. SS, FS, slot corner, hybrid LB, doesn't matter, he's good to go right now and there's no excuse for Will Allen ever playing over him.
Probably should have put Justin Brown on the practice squad and keep DHB like they did, or just IR Martavis Bryant since he's not likely to see the field anyways. They don't need 6 WRs, Archer makes 7, and Bell and Miller are plenty reliable receivers.
Only 2 RBs plus Archer? And 3 DEs, Cam Thomas doubling as a DE/DT, a rookie DE, and Brett Keisel on the verge of being well over the hill if he's not already there? Like I said, they're not valuing the depth on the DL like they should be.. Any way anyone wants to twist it, cutting Mauro is a mistake because I don't see him making it on the practice squad.. Maybe Nick Williams might. Hopefully McLendon is ready to play DE if needed. Also only 3 OLBs? Uhh.. Are they not aware of Worilds' injury history?
And another last but not lest.. Another rookie CB bites the dust..

Dammit they need to get Harrison on the line, I can't believe they would honestly go with 3 OLBs, they have to be picking someone up soon.

Taylor is likely done next season, Allen isn't showing no signs of improvement and the last 3 are far from starters.

Alejandro Villanueva 6'9" 277pounds (likely put on 30 pounds) former Army receiver and OT, who moved to defensive end for the Eagles this preseason. West Point graduate, Ex-U.S. Army Ranger who is coming off three tours of duty in Afghanistan, who also earned a bronze star. Who will be promoted to a captain on May 1st, and would have had a 4th tour of duty if he had not made the roster or if he doesn't stick. Had over 500 yards in 2009 in a run first offense. I doubt the OT label is written in stone just yet, I could easily see him being used as a utility man as a 6th lineman/TE like they did with Beachum and Adams early last season. I'm pumped that the Steelers are giving this certified bad ass an opportunity. EagleDomiKnation @eddiej2010 What else do we need to know about this guy?
