Berry > Ward. And I'd almost say Berry > Troy, but Troy has the name and that carries weight in madden. Edit: to clarify, Berry > Troy because Troy has lost so much of his famous closing speed. I'm not sure even a prime Berry is close to a Prime Troy, and I'm a major homer. But yeah, fck Ward.

I'm not sure even a prime Berry is close to a Prime Troy, and I'm a major homer. But yeah, fck Ward. 2013 stats Eric Berry - 74 Tackles 3.5 Sacks 3 Interceptions 1 Forced Fumbles 2 Touchdowns Troy Polamalu - 69 Tackles 2 Sacks 2 Interceptions 5 Forced Fumbles 1 Touchdown T.J. Ward - 112 Tackles 1.5 Sacks 2 Interceptions 0 Forced Fumbles 1 Touchdown Troy had probably a better season than Berry (caused more turnovers and led all Safeties in Forced Fumbles last year). I could see how you could be mad about Ward being ahead of Berry. It isn't that Troy has lost his closing speed. He has just become a bit of a liability in coverage. Not trying to make excuses here, but he also hasn't had the Pass Rush that he has had in the past which has limited his ability to get Interceptions. Not to mention he played extensively at ILB because our DL could not control the Line of Scrimmage and the rest of our Linebackers were constantly taking on Offensive Linemen.

I could see the Troy argument, and like I said, I think that's just an argument. But Berry is clearly more talented than Ward. I thought Troys loss of speed is why he's become a bit of a liability? He used to do a lot of guessing, and his speed could make up for being wrong, now not so much. I can respect the Dline argument. Troy hasn't had the help on the front end he did earlier in his career. But Berry still has a few Prime years in him, is the reason I'd give him an edge.
