I'm watching the Kings/San Jose game. My neighbor is a hockey player and a big Kings fan. He already broke his TV last game. Kings are up three to nothing. Man this is a frustrating sport to watch. I think it would be frustrating to play.

Excuse my ignorance of the rules (we don't have ice) but I just saw a guy, not the goalie catch the puck with his hand. Then he dropped it and continued playing. They can do that?

Haha, yeah, they can do that. Players just do it to gain control of the puck. After they catch it, they have to immediately drop it though.

I think it would be frustrating to play. Hockey is a frustrating sport to play especially Ice Hockey.. The skill it takes not only to skate at the level of these players but to control the puck the way some of the players do is insanely high, and when you aren't very well practised at either it is one of the most unnatural sports to play in the world. I am interested what about it frustrates you watching it?

All the turn overs. It seems real hard to control anything. Not a lot of "planned plays". Just hit the puck and hope it goes to your guy. Then your guy gets slammed to the boards and they step on the puck. haha its fun. I will watch the Kings Monday night.

Don't get me wrong. When I was very young we went and watched hockey. We had the gulls. Willie O'Ree played. I really liked it. I also had the hockey game with the long sticks that controlled the players and I really liked that. I just haven't payed attention for the last fifty years. So I know a little. My neighbor is from Minnisota so he skates and plays. Now he plays roller hockey. I have skated several times. I'm pretty good at it.
Chit my computer is messing up. If I'm gone for a while its cause my windows xp is history and I need a new one.

Kings win 4-1 tie the series up. Seventh game wed. I'm starting to get this. I like it. Nice fights at the end. The Kings were still trying to score with less than a minute left. It might be nasty Wed. Good come back by the Kings down three to nothing.

I've always wondered.. Why does Montreal call their team the Canadiens when the proper spelling is Canadian?
I was glad to see them beat the Bruins tonight, btw. I do not like Boston.

Has to do with French being the language of choice in Quebec. And yes even though the Habs are the Leafs mortal rivals I am cheering for them over Boston. Boston is the dirtiest team in the league IMO.

The Kings came back from three to zero. Fourth time in history. I only root for the Kings cuz my neighbor does. I'm available to latch on to another team. Now the Kings play the Ducks. Both So Cal teams. Don't know what to do. As long as So Cal wins I'll be happy.
