I swear I saw this explained somewhere, but I can't find it.How is free agency going to work?I did see that it could start Saturday (hopefully),and we will do it by position, but how exactly are we suppose to "bid" and know who wins?

plax In the NFL if a player is cut and claimed off waivers, the team claiming him takes on the entire salary, meaning the team that cut him frees up that entire salary, thus no dead money. Will we be applying the same logic to this?

Will we be applying the same logic to this? as of now, i just have it as the team releasing the player gets the CAP savings back and a team can claim a player for the base salary of that player. if we do it like you described, how much would it cost to CLAIM a player?

The team claiming a player takes on their entire salary. Including all guaranteed money and incentives. I am completely fine with doing it either way, just thought it should be an option.

I am completely fine with doing it either way, just thought it should be an option. so for example: Team A releases Player 2, saves them 4,000,000 in CAP Team B claims Player 2, takes on 4,000,000 for their CAP so basically i would change the base salary to the cap savings from the other team since they are essentially trading for them for nothing (if you will)?

Correct, however if the player goes unclaimed then you have to take on the dead money as well.

That is fine with me, it would probably be unfair to most people to change it at this point anyways.
