With the 40th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois I was sure that Derek Carr would fall to me. Vikings need a QB and I need to try it with Garoppolo. nflfootball11

With the 41th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Dee Ford, DE/OLB, Auburn After to try wheeling and dealing to get this guy later in the round the Buffalo Bills decided to pick him now. He is a versatile linebacker who can play on the line from time to time being a situational player he can speed rush of the edge and contain the run on the outside. A player that Jim Schwartz can play in many different packages. inoccent

With the 42nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Jordan Matthews, WR, VanderbiltThe Detroit Lions' next biggest need was WR, and that need has been met by drafting the best player on the board at the same time. Jordan Matthews is underrated right now. I believe he will be drafted in the 1st rd when the real draft comes along. Juggs

What if I told you that the player I'm about to take ran a 4.35 40 Yard dash....... and he's a 4-3 OLB? With the 43rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Ryan Shazier, Outside Linebacker, Ohio State University! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I said, Shazier is insanely fast, and will likely be the fastest outside linebacker in the entire NFL as soon as he puts on a Titans jersey. Shazier is also a top pass rusher and he did so beating near NFL quality left tackles in the Big 10. Shazier's elite speed allows him to chase down runningbacks and make up for his less-than-excellent pursuit and tackling skills. Frankly, I think Shazier will be a top 16 pick in April, and I've been licking my lips as everyone let him fall and fall. Two years ago the Titans second round pick, Zach Brown, was also heralded with the same assumptions, and he basically lived up to them. Brown, and his backup Zaviar Gooden, both run sub 4.5s and have elite pass rush and coverage abilities. With this pick, the Titans add an OLB to compete with Akeem Ayers and provide much needed depth, as well as develop and get more consistent before being thrown in week 1. If for some reason the Titans do switch to a 3-4 defense, we also now have the personnel to do so. MarchingOn you're on the clock

With the 44th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Allen Robinson, WR, Penn St ================================ Strengths: Well, one of his strengths is.. strength! Due to his size and .....strength, he is almost impossible to play press coverage on, and Robinson can also fight through defenders to make tough catches in traffic. Robinson is also a better athlete than given credit for, and he has a good frame. Could easily add 10 or so pounds of muscle without losing speed. Very big catch radius and good hands, just throw it near him and he'll come down with it. Weaknesses: Doesn't have top-end speed, and route-running needs to be worked on as well. nflfootball11

With the 45th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Jason Verrett, CB, TCU The San Francisco 49ers need to bolster their secondary, Verrett is a ballhawk, under cutting routes. He can plan nickel and excel in crossing routes. Verrett is my 3rd best corner and is the fourth corner selected. dreday36

With the 46th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Deone Bucannon, Safety, Washington State. This kid performed during senior bowl week. After watching tapes of nearly all the best safeties in the draft, I feel like Deone Bucannon is the most natural, play-making safety in the draft. He played in a pretty bad defense, but he still did the most contributions in it. I love this guy versus the run, he's not afraid to come up and make a hit on the RB, something I can't say about our current safety Chris Conte. This guy is a hammer in the middle of the field, slamming WRs who try l run those middle intermediate routes. Simply put, this guy is a hitter and creates turnovers, a perfect Chicago Bear. Some of his stats Per CBSSports. "Bucannon tied for the team lead and tied for fourth in the conference with five interceptions. He also forced three fumbles, recovered two, tallied 4.5 tackles-for-loss and registered four double-digit tackle performances. His 74 solo tackles are the tenth-most in the country this season. It is the second career all-conference honor for Bucannon after being named to the second team last season, he was also named a Freshman All-American in 2010. He owns the fourth-most tackles in WSU history (379) and is tied for the third-most interceptions in school history with 14. - Washington State football"

With the 47th pick of the NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Austin Seferian-Jenkins, tight end, Washington. Seferian-Jenkins is my best player available and was a pretty easy decision to make. Seferian-Jenkins is one of the most complete tight end in the draft and easily the best blocker of the top tight ends in the draft. He stands above everyone one else at an impressive 6'6" 276 pounds and but still moves pretty well for a man his size with good route running but lesser than elite top end speed. Although his greatest asset will come with his flexibility and body control when catching the ball and showing off his basketball skill set boxing out defenders using his massive frame to make sure he is the one that comes down the ball. AS-J dropped lower than expected mainly duo to not having elite athleticism and having a reduced role at Washington dup to other weapons showing up for the team but gained some good experience as an in-line blocker which the Steelers will value massively. TL:DR With Seferian-Jenkins and Heath Miller the Steelers will have two complete TEs that can catch and block and will be able to run 12-personnel with better effectiveness and will have no problem exploiting defenses personnel weaknesses. The Steelers get a bigger, stronger, and more athletic Heath Miller, which means another large target for Roethlisberger, and more running lanes for Bell.

With the 48th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon St The 2013 Fred Biletnikoff winner. (awarded to the best WR in college football) He's simply BPA at this point. With what I've done in FA and the draft so far, WR isn't a huge need for the Jets anymore, but it can still be upgraded. Cooks is a Tavon Austin-like player with the ability to take it the distance every time he touches the ball. Truly an explosive player in every since of the word. This just gives Geno more weapons, and in one offseason, the Jets WR corps has gone from the worst in the league to looking like one of the best.
