this seems like a potentially good move for the bucs. A sixth round pick is a very good deal for such a young player with a good amount of potential

He has little talent. As a Bears fan, I am incredibly happy to see him gone. If he did not have the talent to play on the Bears HORRENDOUS line, he is never going to amount to much.

I'm happy he's gone.He was a waste. We'll take that 6th round pick.We also drafted Jordan Mills, and he fits more of the Trestman style, which Louisiana Tech played a lot similar to the Montreal style up in Canada

I saw that Carimi only started 2 games in his rookie year. This was the year he started to play. Come on, he was a first round pick. You don't trade a first round pick for a 6th after just two years, no matter how bad someone is, especially when he played just ONE full season. May I highlight this, Duane Brown and Trent Williams struggled in their rookie years.

I remember a good chunk of people on the official New York Giants Message Boards wanted to draft this guy in 2011. It feels just like yesterday when he looked like a good prospect out of Wisconsin.

Rookie O-linemen usually don't make a huge impact until their second or third year so I second what you are saying. Also look at what Chicago had on their O-line last year! They were terrible at most positions! How can you expect a guy in his first full season playing to play well when he has nobody else playing well next to him! At least Matt Kalil had help from John Sullivan and Phil Loadholt helping him out! Who did Carimi have? This could backfire nicely on the Bears cause Gabe is going to a team with a solid O-line right now! He could become very good!

Cant blame the Bears for trading him. I never liked him coming out of college, and thought the bears reached for him. A huge bust considering where he was picked, if he wasnt an offensive linemen people would be making a bigger deal out of this.
