for Kelvin Sheppard. Great pickup IMO. Further solidifies our interior LB core. Thoughts?

I see that as a depth move. Sheppard has no business in starting, I believe that Jerrell Freeman and Kavell Conner are better than him. After they signed OLB Lawrence Sidbury and Army linebacker Josh McNary, it made sense to trade Hughes. I see Sheppard as the 4th inside linebacker to replace Moise Fokou.

Note to Bills fans about Hughes: Hughes is a horrible run defender and will commit a lot of encraochments and neutral zone infractions. The positive is that last year he showed signs of improvement in his pass rushing skills. Still doesn't make up to the fact that he's horrible overall.

Freeman is a beast and will continue to beast, Conner I don't know much about but Freeman does not need to be replaced!

I really like Kavell but he's really inconsistent. Look at last year. Same with Angerer. The 2nd ILB spot seems to be up for grabs right now. Sheppard should make a good case for it

Freeman is a beast and will continue to beast, Conner I don't know much about but Freeman does not need to be replaced! Conner is good too. I got mad when ILB Pat Angerer replaced Conner, while recovering from a foot injury in pre-season. Result: Angerer sucked badly Freeman will continue to get better, indeed.

Freeman is the only unquestioned starter in the ILBs

Sheppard was awful in Buffalo, this is nothing more than 2 busts being traded for each other. The idea is that the change of scenery will help them, but it rarely works out.
