1. Eric Fisher OT ===== A
The best pick we can make. Is a better RT than Joeckal, which is where he might play his 1st year. We will obviously be a run first team. Fisher is a much better run blocker.
3a. Travis Kelce TE ==== A-
This gives Alex Smith yet another weapon. Kelce is explosive, an he can be the #1 this year. I was a little bit skeptical at first, but after looking into it I like the pick.
3b. Knile Davis RB ==== D+ (Downgraded this from C- to D+)
My least favorite pick of the draft. This guy is so injury prone... And fumble prone. And he doesn't compliment Charles all that well. He is a much less skilled, more fumble prone, Darren McFadden.
4. Nico Johnson ILB ===== B+
Compliments our other LBs perfectly. We have two stud pass rushers, and a good cover man/all around guy. This is the run stopper of the group. He may be a slight liability on third down... But he can stop the run. And we can sub him out on some obvious pass plays and get an extra DB on the field. May have been a little bit of a reach.
5. Sanders Commings S ==== B+
I really like this pick. I see some Bernard Pollard in him. He hits... HARD. He has a killer hit, and has good playmaking ability. This adds well needed competition and depth at S.
6a. Eric Cush C =====

Fisher was the best pick you guys could make. Great pick. I'm in the minority that would take him over Joeckel.
Kelce is a solid pick, he was probably the best TE on the board when you took him.
Agreed with you Mitch, I don't like the Knile pick, especially that early. He's injury prone and he fumbles a lot.
Not a fan of Nico Johnson. He's a good run stuffer, and he will help you guys there, but he's an arm tackler, which will cause bigger/powerful backs to easily shed his tackle attempt. He is also not great in pass pro, and slow compared to other ILBs.
I don't know anything about the rest.

im think it was a better than average draft
eric fisher is a great player, even though i though joeckel was the better choice, but either one is a great idea. i LOVE the travis kelce pick, and its not because hes from cincinnati. dont waste away his talents, because i would hate to see such a good player like him not be able to get to his potential if kansas city cant win games.
i was surprised with knile davis being drafted in the 3rd it screams reach, so of course i think that was a horrible move. but hes a big boom or bust player. nico johnson doesnt make much sense IMO because LB isnt as big of a concern
you might of gave it a C, but i think it deserves a better grade
final grade: B

I didn't think the Chiefs draft was bad. To be honest, no teams really had a bad draft this year. But it was a horizontal draft, so it's the core players. I hate the way everyone has been saying this is nothing more than a supplemental draft (not really here but in other crowds I'm involved in). Truth is, this draft helps every team get better. With out all the flashy top tier players teams were able to focus on the basics and upgrade positions that need help. I also liked how there weren't a lot of reaches this draft in the early rounds, I also love how the draft reflected my personal views on Geno Smith and Sherrif Floyd by proving me right that they weren't top 10 picks.
Kniles Davis isn't really like DMC IMHO. If I had to compare him, he's a lot like young Reggie Bush when he started with the Saints. Fumblitus can be cured, injury prone can't, but it can be conditioned to prevent some. As I see it the chiefs under Reid want a slash and burn type of backfield, and this is where they are going.
My main knock against the Chiefs is that they did not target a QB. It's really going to come back on them as Alex Smith isn't as good as Harbaugh made him look. There is always next year, however, but until they can get good QB play the Chiefs won't be able to challenge for the division (maybe a wildcard if everything goes well, but that's the same for the Chargers too, and Raiders to a much lesser extent as we are full blown rebuilding right now)

Yes this 4th round rookie is going to start. He may be bad... But we literally have no other choice. ILB was our biggest need heading into the draft.
