alright since there are no cardinal fans on these forums yet, i will do there game preview for today
so heres what you guys should watch for today
*the QB competition. i mean thats a no brainier right? this is the storyline of the game right now, since the cardinals cannot decide on kolb or skelton. while kolb has showed potential and has played well at times, durability has been a problem for him. skelton has showed that he can win the games and is improving. skelton has so far looked much much better in camp than skelton. i think kolb must start, but skelton could be the man after all
*the running game. beanie wells and ryan williams will not play this game, but both guys are competing for the starting RB job as far as im concern. in the meantime, larod stephen howard will start this game and has played alot of special teams too, so look out for him
*the new weapons to throw too. the cardinals choose to use there 13th overall pick in the draft last year on notre dame WR michael floyd. while hes not listed as the starter now, he will likely be the guy to start right away to take some pressure off of larry fitzgerald and the guy whos throwing to him. he will fight with andre roberts for the #2 WR job
*underated defense in the makings. defensive coodinator ray horton is slowly becoming one of the best DC in the game. hes only coached in his 1st year on this cardinals team, but in a year or two, he will be getting alot of coaching offers soon, hes that good. hes been an assistant for the pittsburgh steelers before, so he seems to like bringing in former steeler players. former steelers CB william gay who played well as a nickle last year for the steelers will come in to start as the #2 CB for the cardinals. horton has alot to work with on this defense, especially the young LB's on the team like sam acho and o'brien schofield
CONCLUSION
the cardinals are being overlooked this year IMO, as most people seem to believe they will battle it out with the jaguars in the matt barkley sweepstakes. they have a chance to overthrow the niners for the nfc west division IMO. while people want to give the seahawks and rams a better chance to overthrow the niners, i think the cards are the team that has the best chance to do that
